No one else thought they would win so a clause stating that you had to have a rematch against both brothers wasnt going to bother them. Haye rightly or wrongly believes that he can beat them.

My life consists of looking at industrial production, household debt, unemployment numbers, home price indexes and the like, 24 hours a day. The UK is in deep **** and discretionary spending (like PPV TV buys) is down over 10% year over year in the UK which is a huge deal. The UK consumer is in the worst financial condition since the 1930s, much worse than continental Europe.

Had not Setanta gone under and Haye was offered a two fight deal, fight Wlad then Vit we wouldn't be having this ridiculous debate.

I wonder if Vitali would have signed a 4 fight contract with Lewis if Lewis was getting 15-20 million and Vitali 400k.

Farmboxer, seriously, use your head son!

A rematch clause is acceptable. Anything else beyond that is ridiculous.

No he wouldn't, not if he has any sense, a potential 1.6 million for 4 fights at great risk when he could earn that for 1 fight.

Remember, Haye could fight ANYONE of their choosing, so the 4 fight contract stipulation still stands.

Exaggeration is a rhetorical tool. The point was to get across the decision making process of somebody under water on his mortgage and having a hard time paying his bills who then makes up his mind if he wants to spend 15 quid on a PPV or not.

Look how many buys Khan - Kotelnik got. It is very telling.

Please he has called out Lewis for years.. for not giving him a rematch, Ansd i bet you Vit would of said anyone of your chosing after .. Btw haye was guarenteed 50% in the rematches so by that logic the rematch lewis ducked and so forth would be at 50% :deal not 1.6 for all 4..

Maybe, maybe not. King seems to have the WBA in his pocket so who knows. King may also get promotion rights.

I think that the Klitschko's have also stated in the past that they will never deal with Don King, so I would say there's a shitload of fighters there would have trouble negotiating with the Klits.

Vitaly is the one that has had the most contract issues, not Wlad.
Through the Emeritus bull****, and then the court of arbitration or whatever it's called to remove Maskaevs mandatory status. I'd say there's a few contract issues there.

And how many other fighters have had a mandatory rematch AND a fight against the other brother has part of their contract?

There was alot more to it when it came to the Rahman vs Maskaev fight. Maskaev stepped out of the way, so that Toney could fight Rahman, even though Maskaev was the manditory. Then everyone badmouthed Maskaev for getting his shot, even though he earned it with his fists and not his mouth and the rest is history, he proved he deserved the shot by TKOing Rahman.

Vitali offered Lewis huge amounts of money for rematch, but Lewis crapped his pants!

Haye claimed he would easily beat both Klitschkos, so why would rematch claus matter?
