So as most everybody heard, Hasim Rahman is coming back to the ring and fighting in New Zealand on the Tua/Cameron undercard. Well I just spoke to my main man Chauncy Welliver, and he said that Hasim Rahman's people called his people up today and offered him the fight against Rahman in NZ on the Tua/Cameron undercard. The shitty thing is that they only offered him 5,000NZD. So he didn't take the fight. Just an update...

Thanks for the update. For some reason, I am interested in seeing what happens with that card. I guess because of the fact that Rahman made a big splash back in the day against Lewis and Tua used to be one of my favorite fighters to watch.

Rahman still has something left if he trains like Hell.

:yep I agree. If he can rededicate himself and train harder than he has ever trained before, he can still be a factor in this division. That is of course if his hips are better as well.

What is up with his hips?

It looks to me like his punch resistance is gone. Once that happens, a fighter has to go, becasue repeated concussions are very bad for the brain. He had a great career, and he should be proud. But what is his goal now? Is he going to figth Wlad again? Vitaly?

Overall? I would say that his goals now are to get one last big payday and call it a career. But only time will tell. About the hips...the esteemed Bigcat visited Rahman down in Vegas a few weeks ago, and he said that Rahman was using walking sticks and looked to be in rough shape. Bigcat said that Rahman didn't elaborate on the problem, but it looked to him as though it was a hip problem. Bigcat didn't think we would ever see Rahman in the ring again.

That could be congenital hip deterioration. Hope the man is allright.

I have nothing against rahman the man stayed busy and got his shots and even made good on one of em. I cannot imagine him getting back into the ring if he has a serious hip problem. Perhaps he was recuperating from surgery?

As do I. It is no secret on here that I am a huge Rahman fan. But it must not be too serious if he is fighting again...

It could be surgery, or a displaced hip recently put back in place, or even an extremely bad hernia. It could be a million things. We may never know.

Well let's hope it isn't that serious, but if so, hopefully he is well recovered by October.
