Can people just watch fights before making comments on them? I mean, it's ridiculous. Armchair fans are becoming a nightmare on here. A couple of points:

    1) Solis stopped Haye in the amateurs - yes this is true, but again, watch the fight. It's on youtube after all. Haye gave Solis a standing 8 in the first round through a good shot, then got stopped after running out of steam. No knockdown, no out on his feet (in the punch in the head sense). Just exhausted. If they fight in the pros, I would put my money on Haye stopping him.

    2) Haye got put on his arse by a SMW - yes, again this is true, but that old nugget of youtube comes up trumps again. You can see this in the Mormeck fight also, but there appears to be a slight problem with Haye around the temple area. Mock caught Haye on the temple, his senses went, and down he went. Same in the fourth round with Mormeck - in the corner Haye got caught on the temple, and his legs went all wobbly. Same thing in the first round against Maccarinelli. To paraphrase Adam Booth himself from a few years back - "I've seen David get caught with some huge shots in sparring and take them well, but occasionally he goes all ***** street when you don't expect it." Not the greatest trait, but not exactly a glass jaw. Watch the Fragomeni and Mormeck fights again - Haye takes some heavy shots on his JAW and does not go down.

Exhaustion and the temple are his problems.

    3) A moot point at best, but....whilst Haye vs. Thompson was good for him in the long run, it would have been a 50/50 call in most fights in today's era as to whether that was stopped in Haye's favour in the first few rounds. He absolutely battered him, got a legit knockdown that the referee didn't see (Thompson's gloves touched the mat). A W TKO 2 against a name like Thompson would have stopped all of these conversations!!

Oh please, Barrett hooked him down with an illegal punch come headlock when he was way off balance, then clobbered him when he was down.

That aside, Haye put on a less than stellar performance against Barrett. The fight was wild, Haye found himself wide open at times and had to take a couple of punches from Barrett that should NEVER have landed.

Haye found himself on the floor (legal punch or not) not because Barrett is such a great fast puncher but because of Haye's wild, uncontrolled swings that make him lose balance and lose his entire guard at times.

It's an inherent weakness in Haye's style and it has been with him since the amateurs.

He wasn't KO'd. I don't see how his corner throwing in the towell proves Haye has a glass jaw, tbh.

Haye was dead tired after beating the stuffing out of Thompson for 4 rounds, he didn't train for a long fight and paid for it. He never showed a glass jaw, he took some flush power shots and didn't get knocked out, if his corner hadn't jumped in he would've, but he took some punishment up to that point.
the fight is very similar to the first Klitschko_Brewster fight to those who haven't watched it.

Like I've said before, Haye is a KO waiting to happen. Haye himself knows that, thats why he backs out of fighting the klitschkos.

I would be very surprised if Haye doesn't get KTFO by any average heavyweight over the next three fights. Not because Haye chin is so soft but simply because his awkward footwork and non-existing defense are too inviting for anybody HW with a decent handspeed to easily tag him.

Throwing in the towel during the middle of a round is a TKO. If I remember correctly, Haye was down at least once before the stoppage.

I won't speculate on whether or not Haye has a glass jaw, but one thing is fact: he was knocked out by Carl Thompson

If your corner stops the fight during a round it's TKO.

I don't remember Haye being extremely busy during the fight. Thompson was backing up most of the time and looking to counterpunch IIRC, limiting the chances for engagement. I think Haye did get a bit worn down a bit but that was because he was swinging away like a madman with every single one of his punches.

    This.

How can anyone call Haye glass jawed when he's never been sparked?
Getting put down means **** all aslong as you get up and keep going.

He gassed out in that match and when theres no energy everything else starts to go first its your legs, then arms and eventually you fall later on. David Haye has eaten some hard shots, and i notice when he eats those hard shots he tends to stop for a second, but he definately doesnt have a glass jaw at cruiserweight to say the least but if shots from Enzo Maccarinelli at cruiserweight make you stop your attack a little bit then no telling what hes gonna do against Wladimir Klitschko who can know you out with a jab and now Nikolai Valuev whos about 300 pounds
