it would never happen.... it would be to dangerous because it would potentially splinter the fans

instead of having 1 million people watching floyd vs jmm one saturday
then having 1 million people watching ufc 101 the following saturday

you would probably have 600k watching floyd vs jmm & 400k watching ufc 101

it would be completely stupid on ufc's part... they dont have the bankroll to trump the marketing of floyd vs jmm....

the only way it would work is if they collaborated and pulled a 50 cent vs kanye.... but it still wouldnt work because 50$ is too much $ to be spending on 2 events... and still ufc cant match their "guns" with boxing

    hbo vs spike
    international promotion vs regional promotion
    big pockets vs smaller pockets

ufc couldn't survive... **** would never happen

Honestly, have you ever seen Marquez fight other than the fights with Pacman?

is it me or is it strange that there are people on a boxing site who seem to take pleasure in the possibility of a boxing event tanking because of an mma event?

and they're the ones calling me a hater

I don't even like MMa at all but even I would say Lesnar vs Fedor will kill PBF vs Marquez, or any other possible boxing match, if they are the same day. MMA's the hot thing right now, it's just a fact.

get the hell outta here with that bull****, that is such a stupid statement it doesnt even need proper ripping cuz it does it itself....

Both are exciting in their own ways, and have their own fights to showcase that... making such a broad generalised ignorant statement seems typical of the usually (in my experiances) short attention span, dim witted UFC fans i meet who also like WWE. Exciting is a perspective and in the eye of the beholder.

Noone is taking "pleasure" in this. The majority of us are just realistic. Not a completely lost, biased and oblivious person such as yourself.

Brock Lensar has had 4 fights in the UFC...His first fight against Mir brought home 650K, his 2nd fight was against Heath Herring and it did 625K, His 3rd fight against Couture did anywhere from 900k to 1 mil depending on where you read and his fight against Frank Mir did 1.5 million.

He's a buyrate box office draw and no matter WHO boxing puts up against him, he'll likely outdraw them. The only guy who could potentially touch him is Pacquiao if lined up against a great #2.

Basically Lesnar is a walking cash register....that's realism. Not "hating".

I personally think the fight will sell regardless! I love both fighters & would watch them no matter who was fighting on UFC!! I really doubt Dana White will take the risk of having the possibility of the UFC's biggest fight in history not being its biggest PPV because he has an axe to grind w/Boxings biggest star! Not good for bizness! :nono & even he knows it!

Right. Chances are it's way too soon for that fight. I doubt they'd blow this one that early.

I'm betting on a weaker main event, especially since the undercard already has like 5 fights on it.
