You take what you can get. He is elusive but he can’t move his body. He is very quick with head movement. You break his body down, he has bad hands, bad ribs, bad knee and he’s had rotator cuff surgery. This is not a guess it’s the facts, period.

Look what Manny did to both De La Hoya and Hatton. His victories looked very easy. Mayweather struggled and Manny blitzed through both opponents. You can’t say either fighter was over the hill or a shot fighter. These were the same two opponents that gave Mayweather fits especially early in the fight. Marquez is a very clever opponent that will give Mayweather a tussle. Even though I pick Mayweather to win the fight, it would not surprise me if Marquez won. After all, Mayweather has been off for two years.

That’s exactly why Mayweather will be, an easier opponent than Cotto or Mosley or even Marquez. Manny will be applying pressure from the beginning and never let up. He will use both hands and he is certainly the faster fighter. The difference will come in the middle of the fight. Manny is continuing to throw shots from all angles and Mayweather will feel the Kayo.

I disagree with Roach. The way to beat PBF imo is to keep your distance and fight in flurries behind a good jab

I'm not saying other ways won't work but I think thats the best one

dont try to aim for his head, he hides it well... aim for the extremeties (arms, body, shoulders...but dont stay close too long. Only if you're confident with your power and chin ofcourse!

Only one problem...Mayweather has his own offense. I dont think Roach even realizes that...

Thats what everyone has been saying. But unless floyd has slipped in speed in reflex's, i dont really see it happening. The man is a boxing genius, and has reallllllly good reflex's. He can see everything in slo mo man, and dosent ever seem to be pressured, he just waits in the fire for his time to strike. I dont see anyone beating a floyd thats near his prime. I think Pac can beat him If, mayweather has lost some things these past few years

I'd have to disagree with you on the distance. Floyd has more reach than pac, so I would think the best thing to do is corner him (Which everyone manages to do) and instead of going for his head destroy his body.

Mayweather will stay the hell away from every fighters who have the power to hurt him. Manny, obviously, is one of them.
That being said, I don't agree with everything Roach said, I am even surprised he said all that.

even if Floyd has more reach, I not saying that Pac should stay in that reach. He should stay outside Floyd's reach, close the gap, let off a combination, and then move back out of Floyd's reach.

Trying force the issue in order to corner Floyd will often leave you looking like a deer in headlights. Its really playing into his strengths.

First and foremost, its been stated by Floyd's own trainer that Floyd has problems with southpaws. Manny Pacquiao is not only a southpaw, but a very unorthidox one. He throws punches in bunches, and from all different angles. Floyd will have a very hard time dealing with Pac.

Mayweather is smart, crafty, and adjust better than anyone in the sport! Being off for 2yrs don't make you dumber! Hatton tried to beat him up & ended up getting beat up himself! Mayweather took his time and broke him down! Manny would ofcourse apply pressure, but he would eventually pay for in the end. May's body attack is still underrated & yes he would slow Manny down. I don't care what Manny did to Oscar & Hatton, he won't be fighting either one of them if he & Mayweather hook up! His accuracy, speed & timing will be the difference starting @ the 3rd or 4th rd! Unlike the above mentioned fighters Manny will be hit & hit alot & eventually he most likely will be stopped! If Mayweather decides to sit down on his punches midway thru after slowing Manny down you can call it a night for the Phillipino!!

good call. i think roach is pretty right on about this. it's obvious he's VERY confident in manny's strength/power. manny has awesome stamina. if he can stay inside and just shell every part of pbf's body while moving laterally with good defense and head/upper body movement the whole fight, he might actually be able to hurt floyd.

Mayweather likes to stay in the pocket if you go in and out similiar to a Chad Dawson and use a quick jab and get outside of the pocket then Mayweather will have problems because thats how he counters he counters staying in the pocket and moving his shoulder and head movement to make it difficult to land which for some fighters makes them lose their composure. Oscar De La Hoya talks about how Mayweather cant protect himself from the jab, its not that he cant protect himself from the jab he cant protect himself from the reach advantage. Pacquiao I believe would get outboxed against Mayweather he doesnt have the reach advantage, skill, or ring IQ that Mayweather has he has progressed over the past few years but, if he were to step in the ring with Mayweather he would lose a close matchup but the key to beating Mayweather is fighting on the outside using the jab and using straight lefts and rights

Zab's first 4 rounds against Floyd are the blueprint on how to beat him, the problem is a lot of people don't have Zab's reflexes, skills, and abilities to accomplish that game plan. Another way to beat him, is make him go on the offensive, which is what someone like Paul Williams could do, because his reach is so long it would be hard for Floyd to sit back and counter him.
