Was a title fight and no one was against it BUT when Pac and Cotto at 145 for the title people started talking... Why?
Pac is the p4p king and people will find any reason to hate. It the fight was at 147, they would find another reason.
Because every body is different, and fighters know their bodies better than anyone else. Also, Pac is no DLH, meaning DLH called every single shot as the $$$ maker, promoter, and shot caller period. Pac hasn't proven to be a better $$$ maker without a name opponent, and he is no promoter. Why should Cotto have to bow down to Pac? The way I see, unless Pac wants to fight Mosley or JMM, he has no real options for a mega fight unless it's Cotto.
You could say the same thing for Cotto, if not Pac who would he fight to make that much money? If you dont have other options, you have to bow down... thats how the world turns sadly to say....
The difference is that Cotto will fight anyone, Mosley, Clottey, Berto, JMM, Mayweather, Williams, hell, I think he'd even fight Margarito again. Pac will only fight Cotto.

Hopkins was the one that ask for a catch weight cause De la hoya had said he won't fight Hopkins at the middleweight limit cause it's too high for him but Hopkins like i said started by wanting to fight De la hoya at 158 pounds catchweight. Cotto never started saying he wants to fight Pacquiao at a catch weight. Cotto didn't beg Pacquiao to fight him while Hopkins was begging for a De la hoya showdown. Think before you type you dumb biased Pacquiao fan.
Very simple really. Pac fills out in GREAT shape at 147. We saw what Oscar looked like vs Sturm at 160. Oscar simply couldn't carry that weight and be in any type of good condition.... and Hopkins routinely weighed in under the 160 limit.... but would also balloon up to a Light Heavyweight by fight night. There is a MUCH LARGER gap in natural size between DLH and Hop, than there is between Pac and Cotto. Everyone knows that Cotto would would draining himself in a harsh way to get down to 145 and below. Those pounds don't come off easy when you are already cutting so much weight and have nothing to lose... trust me.
