Cung Le is 37 years old, and has been inactive for nearly a year and a half. I agree Cung Le is an exciting fighter, and would like to see him get in the mix. I just don't know if that will ever be the case. Cung seems to be more interested in movies than he is mma.
He would batter Diaz sadistically. In his brief foray into MMA he showed some amazing striking skills and takedown defense - which we knew he had anyway. He would have been a style nightmare somewhat like Machida if he had been a little younger and interested in competing.
It's not that cut and dry, Frank got beat much much worse by Diaz than Cung. Plus if Le vs Diaz hits the floor, in any position, it's curtains for Le.
When the hell was the last cung le fight. He should be reconsidered alright, for his MW belt in strikeforce. It should be given to someone else or he MUST be forced to fight.

No,...he wouldn't. Le is/was infinitely talented. His striking skills are his forte'.....and justifiably so. But he hasn't fought and beat anything NEAR worldclass MMA opposition. Diaz beat Frank ten times easier than Cung Le did. Nick Diaz is a grinder......and while not the best middle in the world, good enough to beat a 37 year old part time fighter.
cung le should be considered inactive and his belt should be stripped. diaz would be way to much for him diaz would beat his ass from pillar to post
