i think he deserves to be in the conversation. a big fight or two to prove it though; beating cintron doesn't do it for me

only if PW officially moves up to fight pavlik. as long as he's around martinez belongs at #2 imo. there has been talk of margarito moving up to 154, though and he's the only guy to have beaten martinez. guaranteed SM has improved since that loss, but i'm still not sure he'd be able to take AM.

I think he just might be. I would love to see him and Paul Williams go at it. Both men are difficult to fight.

oh for sure. i count that as a win. i won't acknowledge a draw in that ****ing fight. like saying lacy won an SD against calzaghe. BUT martinez still wasn't that impressive, even in victory

I agree, He is well in the mix but beating Cintron doesn't prove he is the best 154

that would settle quite a bit. daniel santos, margarito and williams are the only guys who could possibly take martinez. i'd only pick williams to do it, margarito would be 50/50 and santos is too inconsistent to tell

I wouldn't go so far as to say that he's the top guy at 154 but the division is weak enough to ensure that he has an argument especially now with the loss of Vernon Forrest (I still can't believe it). If the nomadic Paul Williams were to drop anchor at 154 he'd be my pick but he's not solidly entrenched there so I'll say that until proven otherwise, Dzinziruk is the top guy in the division with Martinez close behind.

Williams I think. Forrest - Martinez is a fight I would have liked to see though man. Too bad.
