Roberto Duran losing to Pat Lawlor (I know Duran was past his prime but Pat Lawlor?)

Morrison getting a bloody beat down by Lewis

Rahman getting knocked into the front row by Maskaev and hanging on to Maskaev's leg in the rematch.

Vitali coming back after 1400 days off and making Peter quit on his stool without injury.

Hopkins TKO Tito Trinidad: Hops badmouthed Tito for the whole promotion. Then he desecrates the PR flag IN PUERTO RICO, IN FRONT OF THOUSANDS OF RICANS (and survives) and then he dominates and KTFO their national hero. B-Hop humilliated A WHOLE COUNTRY that night, not just one man.

Clay vs Liston I & II: Clay made the most feared man in the heavyweight division transform into yestedays news.

Oscar vs Mayorga: After the first KD, Thrash Talking Mayorga had a priceless look in his face. He knew he was ****ed.

Bernard Hopkins made Kelly Pavlik look like a complete ******* when everyone thought that Pavlik the next Marciano. Must have been a humbling experience for Pavliks corner to see their man so completely outclassed.

Lacy vs Calzaghe was basically the same story btw.

Of course. The Hopkins/Pavlik fight was the epitome of humiliation in boxing.

it's certainly up there. watching it, it was like a boxing instructor giving his student a lesson the entire time. showing him all the things he'd encounter in his career and to prepare for them in the future

I understand your point, and mean no offense.

i just admire everything about Joe Frazier. If I ever get my ass kicked, I hope I do it with that much balls.

what happened in his third fight with ali should NEVER be forgetten. futch was right. he couldn't see out of either eye, he was as close to death as any standing man has ever been and all he wanted was a chance to go out there and hit ali. win, loss, he just wanted his chance to hit him.

Plus, the arrogance of team Pavlik and the majority of Pavlik fans before the fight made the humiliation even bigger.

The fact that it was at the very end of his career saves it from being that embarrassing. Hatton's total destruction after Hoya removes it that much more. If Pac beats Cotto then I feel the blemish of the defeat will be gone because it would say that we were totally blinded by just what a fighter Pac proved to be, and that a old Hoya had no chance against an atg in his prime.

Had the fight taken place in Hoya's prime with similar results then that would be totally embarrassing.

I gotta go with Lacy's loss to Calzaghe. Lacy lost pretty much every second of that fight, got outpunched, outhustled, cut up, knocked down, and had to reach deep down just to survive as Calzaghe fought like a man possessed right up 'til the final bell.

I think the pro-Lacy leadup to the fight combined with the total domination of Calzaghe combined to make the whole event a downright humiliating experience. I know the injury against Tsypko didn't help matters but let's face it, Lacy hasn't been the same since the Calzaghe fight.

People forget, Marvin Hagler had him rated in his top 10 pound for pound. Now THAT is well regarded
