Who do you think? Couldn't include everyone. Sorry for Marciano, Frazier, Jeffries, and Dempsey. Bowe in that limited prime definitely needs to be considered. Foreman's power, durability, jab, reach, and toughness makes him a candadite to consider. He's not #1 but he can be made a case for top 5 I believe. Liston is quite possible the most perfect balanced fighter on paper. Those Ali fights really hurt him in these discussions. He's the slowest fighter on the list in my mind. He's durable, tough, and has shown heart (Broken Jaw versus Marshall). Has power, reach, and a telephone poll jab. Great boxing skills. Tyson is the most balanced fighter. Actually, might also be the best fighter on paper. Unbelievable speed with great power, timing, accuracy, footwork, balance, and ferocity, the ability to bang you with any shot. The greatest arsenal on offense with terrific defense/head-movement. His weakness is mental strength/toughness. This is widely argued and disputed. Another weakness can be his short reach. Holmes is got arguably the best left jab in the business. Great technical boxer. HOLY **** I forgot Joe Louis. Holyfield is a warrior. Tough in mind and body. Great boxing skills and ability to move and box. Ali... what really needs to be said? If none of the choices are your pick than go other. If you vote other it be cool to tells us your pick here.
Tyson or Lewis. If Lewis's chin can hold up to Tyson's punches he would win. Bowe would be my darkhorse pick. Louis should also be a choice.
Good picks. Bowe is definitely a darkhorse. Louis should've been a choice. But I completely forgot him. Read the original post, you'll notice something funny.
Voted for Liston but meant Ali atsch. Liston is my #2 or #3. Liston is quite possibly the most complete Heavyweight ever. I used use that Title Bout thing and create a HW tourney with the greats.
Liston ain't a bad choice, very complete. The Title bout thing is cool but I did the same fight twice and got two different results. Guess what fight it was?
I liked Holmes...... a big man who can smooth out a fight with slick jab. I just think he is trouble for any heavy
