Sup Georgie. I had no problem with people picking Mosley to beat Margo, but I doubt anyone thought he would murder him the way he did.
I had a feeling Margarito wouldnt be the same after Cotto cus although he won he took a beating as well. Add the styles make fights and that Shane still was too fast for Margo and i thought he was all wrong for Margo and not as shot as people thought he was after the Mayorga fight.
I didn't think it would be as one sided, but I called a late Shane TKO. Because Mosley is a vicious puncher when he can sit down on his shots, which there was no doubt he would be able to do against Margarito. Shane is an accurate puncher as well, throws great combos, and has a better chin than Cotto. Unlike Cotto, I felt it was obvious that Shane would get the better of the exchanges with Margarito because compared to Margarito he hits harder, is more accurate, has way faster hands, way better combos, and I didn't think Marg could hurt him like he hurt Miguel. It was arguable that Shane's chin is just as good as Margarito's. The only time Shane has ever been hurt was against Forrest, when he was clearly dazed by a headbutt before eating some vicious combos
Wright by easy UD over Tito. And since others are listing it, I guess I can list Vitali over Peter, but I wouldn't even have thought to list it otherwise. That one was very, very natural. The only possible way to think peter would win is if Vitali looked 80 years old, I thought. I bet a **** load on Vitali, curious as to why the line was so close.
Hopkins over Trinidad and Byrd over Tua was something I bet on a parlay back in 2001. Hops and Byrd were both 4:1 underdogs. I was correct, but since 911 pushed the date of Hops-Trinidad back two weeks, I only got credit for the Byrd victory. I was very confident that those two would win. I as fairly confident that Mosley would beat Margarito. I've picked a few other minor upsets here and there over the years, but those are the ones that jump out. I did win money in Forrest-Mosley I (because of a stupid dream) and Tyson-Williams (because of a hunch). They were both 7:1 underdogs, but I did think Mosley and Tyson would probably win those fights, so they probably should not count.
That's exactly what I thought of the fight. It seemed odd to me that quite a few people were so confident Peter would win.
Well right from the moment I heard Ricky Hatton signed to fight Floyd Mayweather,I always said Floyd is going to Knockout Hatton,That was always my prediction!!,I always felt "NO WAY" does Hatton survive the distance with a fighter as skillful as Floyd, and I was proven right!!
