Wahey, another Lewis V VITLAY thread, I love it when this happens cos it's easy pickings for KFQOTW threads :happy

As for the rematch - had it happened the result would have been the same, except Lewis would have prepared properly and put VITLAY into early retirement. Lewis KO2, and it wouldn't have even been close. Both Klits are just bullies at heart and can't cope with men that are as big as them, as skilled as them and who come to fight rather than lay down. Lewis didn't fit any of those bills which is why he turned VITLAY into mincemeat, and he'd have done the same to his ***** brother too, WALDO wisely avoided the **** out of Lewis.

Tua, Vitali for example have very good chins. Lewis has been rocked bad (wobbly legs and swaying out of balance) in too many fights and KOd twice to boot. His chin is somewhere between above average and good.

No, Lewis would get knocked out. They only thing that saved Lewis was the cut. Vitali will knock Lewis if he can get him back into the right, but Lewis won't do it. Lewis remembers his badly broken nose and that he was ready to fall. Good thing his doctor stopped the fight without giving Vitali any notice.

You mean if Lewis had offered Waldo a fight after beating Vitali then Waldo would NOT have accepted the challenge?

You have got to be kidding me! It's Okay to be a Lewis fan and support a fighter from your country, but that's just BULL****.

Lewis was a great champ with amazing style, technique and power. But he was definitely not unbeatable.

Vlad never refused to fight Lewis. Vitali has offered Lewis tons of big money for a rematch.

12 pages, and without reading a single one of them I can bet how the conversation is going...and who is leading it on parrot-fasion.

Lewis had a plenty serviceable chin.

The big reason I think Vitali would win a rematch is that Vitali was just roughing him up so badly. It took till the 6th round for Lewis to really phase Vitali in terms of rocking him, and Vitali buzzed Lewis in every round.

Lennox fought like a hero, straight up. But he hates to be beat up. He had the skills to discourage and punish Vitali in his prime, but at 37, he needed a truly lucky cut to open up the punches that kept Vitali off. Until the blood began to flow, we were looking at a one-sided passing of the guard.

Kudos to a 37 year old man gutting it out and standing up to the big punching younger, stronger and tougher challenger, but I do think its quite foolhardy to believe you know better than Lewis. Lewis knew that if that was the guy he'd have to beat again to stay champion, he was better off retiring as a top 5 ATG before he got another L, and he did.

Rahman and McCall were not journeymen. They are still contenders now ffs. You wanna see a journeyman? Ross Purritty.

First off, that was one of the sloppiest popular fights ever. Second, Lewis barely missed with any jabs he threw in that fight. If he was in any kind of shape he's have won easily. If Klit cuts, it gets stopped. Otherwise, it's a Lewis UD.

    Agreed.

McCall was a HUGE puncher and, IIRC, once dropped Tyson in a sparring session. Plus, Oliver caught Lennox coming forward...

You're playing fast and loose with the term 'journeyman'.

McCall is an average puncher at best. He hit Lewis with a perfect, very accurate punch. This has nothing to do with McCall having any specific superman-like knock out skills.

McCall was NEVER a huge puncher.
