To prevent the fans ongoing post fights statements like "fighter A was shot/old/overated............" .

How good is each fighter at this time of there :bbb- career?

Froch ............... 100 %. Don't see him getting better than now.
Kessler.............. 90 %. Still young and hungry - but rusty ?
Taylor............... 80 %. Some loses and doubts ?
Abraham......... ...80 %. Seems uninspired lately. 10 % of for moving up.
Ward and Dirrell ...90 %. Young up comers, but will they progress much
after a potential first lost ?

ward and dirrell are hungry but i dont see them getting far.abraham is not tested at smw. froch got to get the KO as he will probably be behind on the cards against these elite fighters, taylor is past best but can pull off some good wins if he dont gas out, kessler is rusty but as he is having that warm up fight before the tourney starts he is my clean favourite.

Kessler and Taylor will be the big winners. Froch and Abraham will be the big losers out of this tournament.

:good Thanks for the percentages - the idea of the thread.

Abraham. Is he the joker in the tournament?

a lot have it for abraham in fact, though i tend to favour kessler if the hunger is still their!!

i expect froch to once again give us a couple of wars, win or lose he'l go down fighting.

    kessler
    abraham
    froch
    taylor
    ward
    direll

kessler being my first pick and direll the least favourite to win,but hey its boxing il probably have to eat my beanie hat.

I agree with the OP. Abraham is untested at SMW and hasn't had a reason to get out of bed for the past few years, so I wouldn't say he's higher than 80%.

But I certainly won't say that boxer X only won against boxer Y because boxer Y was shot. No excuses, the best man will win in each of these good fights.

Abraham is the dark horse of the tournament, but physically 100%. Kessler is yet to be seen, but could be from 75% to 90%, depending on his health. Taylor is worn, physically at like 70% of what he once has been. He seems slower at SMW than at MW, by a considerable amount. The other, no idea, but physically they should be in their prime.

Froch and Taylor are going to struggle the most. Kessler is going to win imo.

The jury is still out in Ward and Dirrell, i knowonly what ive heard, and going from that I saw Carl Froch loses his title early.

Froch 100 (is going strong and started late as pro - so is just now getting into his grove. Definitely on top of his game.)
Abraham 95 (the whole tourney was made because Sauerland feel Abraham is at the top of his game and ready to take the world by storm)
Ward 90 (looked impressive against Miranda - did not stop him, but showed a Hopkins-like smartness which didn't leave Miranda with even a punchers chance. However, although impressive and good win, Ward can still gain some experience)
Direll 85 (looked smokin' in his laast fight against Oganov - but is also greener than anyone else)
Kessler 80 (rusty and new manager, new promoter. Just imagine what it did to Tyson when he lost the man who was with him from the beginning. Kessler was found by Palle and now he is like a rookie having his life turned upside down)

Kessler still has his old trainer, so no big difference. And Palle didn't relly "find" Kessler - Kessler won all kinds of championships as an amateur.

Abraham is short, short arms...has had experence at SMW vs Miranda.
Niether Pavic nor Strum would fight him, and he wanted to unify...so he's going to try to unify at SMW.
His problem was not staying near his fighting weight.
