Jesus, you got some mighty fast hooks , either hand. Whats funny is, the amatuers were well not for you. Very founded feet yet upper work was quite fluid......... I will say, those am's fights was in a way like Benn or something.... Is Wednesday so excuse moi but ppl.........tell me you DONT see a wee bit thaa ways ? Better still, if thaa vid got posted up yesterday in the Training section...........i be saying " I think you will find the Pro's fine"...........
Nice Jeffro. That lunging left hook is very RJJ. You were a bit of dirty **** too after having watched your videos in the last few days and I mean that in the best possible way. Judicious use of the head, holding and hitting and all that kind of stuff is what you want from a good fighter. Nice little passage in the 4th (I think) fight, after the warning where you start move around and pick your shots. Was that against anyone of note or anything like that. Nice vids, though, keep them coming
You were very good, Jeff. I'm another that loved the leaping left hooks. Without asthma, what do you think your level was?
Hard to say mate, billy will disagree with me but I thought I won the opener against ricky, I won the first two and rocked steve Murray and I beat lee mcallister. **** knows- I think I'd have beenup there maybe I could punch hard and had a good chin but had to go into survival mode after a couple of rounds until my opponent ran out of gas at which point I was back in the fight.
yep impressive leaping left hooks! Looking at your amateur fights, it is clear that you were definitely more suited to the pro's, you were trying to KO your man from the off lol Oh and I liked that sneaky dig in the head you gave your man when he had just landed on the floor, forget which vid it was....
Cheers gents.... Much appreciated from all.... I know if you didn't think it was good you'd have just not commented.... means a lot. Itching to fight again.
Had it all my life... it seems to have got worse in recent years with losses to ***an and Carey who I really shouldn't have been losing too though ***an is far better then Baz. It comes and goes and some days its not a problem other days i'm completely inhibited and when you add that strangling burning sensation to anxiety about a fight its very, very over powering. I just feel that I can do more. I'm only 27 and I love training fighters but I was putting my fights on DVD and watching them from a trainers perspective thinking wow I was actually pretty good. I'm not sure i want to fight all the time but then get upset with the asthma. If i'm going to do it I need to accept it and deal with it on the night rather then getting pissed off and hiding. There are ways round it and If I used a bit more movement and counterpunched more then I probably could keep my breathing under control. I seemed to become more and more of a brawler as I progressed when perhaps I should have been using my punch picking and fast combo's
Bloody hell Jeff! You were pretty good :good Even in the ams you had a very pro style. You had some quality skills, picked your punches really well and good hand speed. Shame about the asthma.
i know that some people take steroids to help with asthma {like prescribed steroids}...but i presume you would fail a medical if you took them and wanted to box ?
