Paul probably realizes that calling Kelly Pavlik out is a very dangerous business, cuz he just might answer you:yep

Williams is doing what Cotto does he's letting promoters do the promoting. Williams wants this fight just as bad as Pavlik wants it.

Actually the Rafael bit I posted was loaded with facts. Try comparing what KP gave up to get at Taylor with what PW demands, and there you have it. One guy is a warrior's warrior, the other is . . . . well . . . . not so much.

i feel that the way promoters keep ****ing things up, the fighters need to be speaking up. be it cotto, williams, pavlik, whoever. once negotiations start becoming detrimental to a fight being made, i feel the it's the fighter's job to say, "look, you're ****ing up my rep and, furthermore, my legacy with all this nickle and dime bull****. make the fight." i believe they're within their rights to do that... this is the kind of thing that ends up with the fighter losing a lot of fans.

This is one thing the ufc doesn't have is having promoters messing up the fight cause dana white is like the only promoter and he is putting up big fights for the ufc fans without bull**** demands. I like watching better but the promoters i feel sometimes is making me want to watch ufc more often.

It's bad for the sport too. All too often, the best fights never are made. And people wonder why the UFC is gaining in popularity. Imagine how popular boxing would be if some Dana White-esque boxing promoter could say, Kelly Pavlik-Paul Williams, you're fighting for $500,000 each, or you could leave the promotion and fight for $100,000 elsewhere. David Haye-Wladimir Klitschko, you're fighting. Bernard Hopkins-Chad Dawson, you're fighting, Mikkel Kessler-Lucian Bute, you're fighting, etc. Our sport would see a significant rise in popularity just because it is simply putting on better fights.
