the point is, they haven't had to. i've been waiting a long time to see paul step up to something like this. he's already proven he's a great fighter, but this kind of step up (granted he wins, which he has a great chance) could be the start of the guy becoming an ATG.
I agree with that but he's not as dangerous as Pavlik and PWill. would most likely beat him. He also has to fight one of these fighters because of the HBO date and I think they will choose Dzinziruk.
i would be down to see williams whoop dzinz and THEN fight pavlik. i just really want to see this fight NOW. :happy
I only fought as an amatuer on and off from 1971-1977. Boxing was never my #1 priority as an athlete. Wrestling and motorcycle racing were, but what does that have to do with this conversation. I've been a fan since the Clay/Liston fights, so I do know a little something about the sport. Your arguments do not need to deteriorate into non-sense if they are valid arguments.
the fight has been negotiated for 1 week between two promoters who hate each other...... BE ****ING PATIENT!
cool regarding the AMS :good blah blah blah, The point of what we were talking about is boxers deserve as much as they can get. this is a life or death sport. You wanna watch them punch each other in the head to the other can't stand no more. You have no right to sit up here and say hey that's too much money for P-dub to make. valid enough. i was just trying to make the convo lighter.
Over four decades of following the sport gives me a pretty good idea of what a fighter is worth. Goosen's demands are ludicrous.
Actually, I'm willing to bet Sergey kicks Williams ass...as long as Williams doesn't get away with excessive holding... Sergey has a very good chin, and is technically solid...He'd exploit all of Williams weaknesses, plus he's the kind of fighter Williams isn't used to fighting. Solid, Top in prime fighter.
Yo whatever my dude. You don't want me to respond to your post no problem. If you go back and look me and Walk wit me addressed the issues you bring up many many times already. That's why there is so much frustration in his post. And then comes you pointing out the same stuff we been going over.
Top Rank offered Paul a pay day in excess of twice any previous pay day. The thread title was the right title.
Then they should take their options and stop making ridiculous demands with Pavlik. If they want their biggest fight, then Pavlik is it. The only other realistic option I see for Williams is Dzinziruk for less money.
man it's so many holes in that, that I won't even get in to it. Hey over those four decades you speak of you ever found that supposed article about Kelly's 3-fight HBO deal. Or you just going to keep avoiding that?
