Nah Arreolas a brawler. He wont be deer in headlights like Grant. Arreolas going to try and get inside and make it a fight. I think thats going to be a little harder against Vitali than Wlad, but if he can make it to the later rounds, it could be interesting. I dont think Vitali at his age is capable of fighting a long rough high paced fight.

    Nope.

Valuev - Haye is much further down my list than Vitali - Haye. It's like a nothing fight in comparison.

Arreola - shot guy? Why would he have to fight a shot guy? Why not fight someone decent like Chambers?

Vitali - Haye and Arreola - Chambers craps all over Vitali - Arreola and Valuev - Haye.

If Valuev/Haye had a U.S. television outlet secured, I might be more amenable to that sort of reasoning. Even if it did, it would not cause me to excuse Haye's amateurish behavior in his recent negotations.

We're winning because for the first time in a long time, fights are starting to get made where the people who should fight each other in the Heavyweight division, are. That's been the division's Achilles' heel for a long time, even back into the 90's where the list of good fights that didn't happen weren't much shorter than the list of good ones that did.

Don't be surprised to still see people bitching, but things are livening up right in front of us.

how the hell do you "take a risk" when its your turn to fight for the title?
thats why anyone fights , in hopes of one day stepping in as the challenger to a legitimate world title. do you want arreolla to keep fighting heavyweight nobodies? the top 5 heavyweights are pretty slack, so him fighting anyone else is a massive waste of time...its do or die, time to put on your big boy pants and see what you got

I love both fights. Finally some heavyweight excitement. Wlad-Chambers will complete the trilogy. By the end of this year, we have to potential to really have answered a lot of questions in the heavyweight division.

Personally I don't see this happening for another couple of years. If Haye wins the best financial option would be to fight the other HW's out there. Think about it, should he fight Vit or Wlad straight away he could get beaten walk away with what, 1-2 mill? And ne knocked down the pecking order quite a way. If he fights 2-3 lesser opponents he'll have a far greater chance for the W, make 2-3 mill and when the time comes to get back to the negotiating table he'll be in a stronger position to negotiate a bigger %.

I'll be amazed if he fights either brother withing a year.

Agreed. The possibility of Haye taking over the WBA crown is nice and Vitali vs Arreola is as good as Vitali vs Haye.

Yeah. I can see Haye gassing late after going head first against Valuev in the early rounds. Haye might win it on points, but I seriously doubt that he'll be knocking out the giant. It could get real ugly in the later rounds.

I have no problem with either fight what-so-ever.

    Vitali vs. Arreola

    Valuev vs. Haye

Now if only we can get the winners to fight each other...................

****, I would've been happy with Vitali vs. Valuev & Arreola vs. Haye or Vitali vs. Haye & Valuev vs. Arreola for that matter. Just ****in' fight already dammit!!!

I keep hearing all this bitching & moaning about how this era sucks, etc. But the top guys are fighting the top guys now. That's all we can hope for.

I was cool with Chambers vs. Dimitrenko for the very same reason, the top guys are fighting the top guys.

    What's not to like again?

Yes, it has been a fairly good year for Heavyweight boxing so far. Time for all these guys to put up or shut the **** up.

I can't see it. Hopefully, Haye will go for the knock-out early, if he fails to hurt the giant, he will coast to a easy points victory. He won't have to deal with the massive bulk, He'll just stay away and pot-shot all night in an ugly fight.
The best chance for a good fight is Haye trying too hard too long to knock him out and getting tired...then Valuev may be able to catch up to him and make it at least interesting.
If Haye doesn't go for the knock-out, it will be a wide points win in a snoozefest.

That is very true. In the 90s it took like 10 years before the big fights happened because all the top fighters were chickens and kept dodging each other. They were thinking "Why should I fight that big guy, I can fight that small guy, get the same money and keep my belt safe". Tyson didn't wanna fight Lewis, Holyfield was dodging Lewis for YEARS, Bowe was cherrypicking etc.

Today fights are happening because Don King only controls 25% of the HW belts, not 100%.
