True champion is really Mosley. Anybody with a damn brain should know that. The wbo title that Cotto has is really a paper title in which Cotto beat Jenning back in feb of 09 to win it. Since you say "true" 4 division champion of Pacquiao then Mosley is the "true" 147 champion.

Do you understand how a boxing contract works? Let me break it down for you.

1. YOU are NOBODY to decide what Pac can and cant demand in a fight. If the boxers, promoters, sanctioning bodies and state commisions agree, then anything can be done.

2. YES Pac can demand that the fight be under 147 AND that the titles be on the line. Its been done before, in many high profile bouts, and will be done again. Im sorry you are ignorant of this fact. Now you know.

Now to answer your questions.

- Id rather this fight not happen in the first place, but I dont care, cause Cotto whups him at 145 or 147, title or no title on the line.

- If the title is overrated, Cotto can trash it. He doesnt even need it to land the biggest fights anyways.

- No I dont want Mosley to go down to 140. But its an option for Manny. That is a fact. And I certainly would not give Manny credit for beating Mosley at 140.

arum is really favoring cotto with this one. arum doesn't care about pac's legacy (7th title in as many weight class). he just wants the money to be made out of pac and now cotto.

 

The point is that for the title to be on the line, the fight does NOT AUTOMATICALLY NEED TO BE AT THE 147 LIMIT.

Exactly. Nobody can't force Cotto to defend it. And i also mention that to *******s that the other fights they mention that was at a catchweight the champions back then (Hopkins, Hagler) was so desperate to face De la hoya and Leonard. It wasn't the other way around so both Hopkins and Hagler don't mind of putting title belts on the line cause they wanted the fight badly and they got it in a catch weight. Cotto unlike those 2 wasn't desperate of facing Pacquiao.
