If Pacquiao and Roach had everything their own way the fight would be at 140.

Cotto is the one with the advantage. He's only 1 pound from the weight he was at his last fight (146 against Clottey)

Manny is fighting 5 pounds above his best weight at 140.

Why is there an "Undecided" but not a "Don't Give A ****, Just Fight" option? :huh

They have a right to give a ****, a new title in a new weight division means a lot regardless of what people think of the title.

He said although he thinks belts are overrated, he wants Manny to fight for a reason.

If the contracted weight is 147, then he can come in at 147, but if the contracted weight is at 145, then he can weigh only at 145. The key word is contracted and agreed upon. If there is no agreement, no fight. How can you be so dumb not to understand this. :patsch

Whats for a reason if a title belts is overrated? Come on man think. Look has it occur to you that if Pacquiao beats Cotto, Pacquiao will beat a prime full fledge WW? <<<<<Thats not going to mean much? And hell what is Cotto getting out of if he beats Pacquiao? Cause even if he beats Pacquiao, the excuse will be that Cotto fought a miget in which Cotto won't get the credit he deserves. Will Pacquiao p4p king title be on the line? I don't think so and it couldn't happen.

well if you can have an oppurtunity (win a title in 7th division) in addition to beating a prime full pledge ww in one fight then why not take advantage of it?

roach say although the belt is overrated, he still want pac to be the FIRST 7WEIGHT CHAMP. he can say what you want about the belt, he still be the first one to have done it

If he wants Pacquiao to win it then fight Cotto at the ww limit in which is at 147 pounds to make history. If 145 pounds is no big deal to lose a pound then whats wrong to put 2 extra pound at inch to the ww limit? Cotto weigh at 146 pounds vs Clottey so whats wrong to be at ww limit? If it's at 145 pounds, Cotto will still weigh around 160 pounds on fight night so again whats the problem of not being at 147 pounds? Mostly alot of people, fighters, media already pick Pacquiao to beat Cotto even at 147 pounds.

wtf? you think beating the p4p #1 will not raise cottos own p4p ranking and his stock while bringing pacs ranking a couple of slots down? what about the distinction and validation of being the man to put the top dog down?

right now cotto is wallowing in mediocre wins after a damaging defeat from plaster hands. a win against pac is more than enough to restore him back to his pre margo stardom and retrieve his confidence.

cotto should see this as an opportunity to win his streak back instead of acting like this is the end of his career.

it because his opponent is within the welter limit and the fight is contracted at within welter limit
