NONE TAKEN...But Asero I disagree...there are fighters in the HOF who didn't do as much as Vernon AND they still got in...He may not get in right away but I believe he will get in 1 day!

The man was 270-19 (ametuer and pro)...

Barry McGuigan is a hall of famer. :good

Beat prime Shane Mosley twice, 4 time world champion in two separate weight classes. Great amateur record, performed well at the Olympics. I see no problems with having Vernon in the Hall of fame.

I am not trying to take anything away from these fighters...they all deserve to be in the hof and all can arguably be put any atg list!

Could only think of 3 off the top of my head...

    Dick tiger
    bobby chacon
    eddie perkins

I think Forrest had a good win against Mosley, but his career was not really hall of fame and neither was Gatti. Gatti had a hall of fame fight and knockout reel, but neither really was Hall of fame or should be. The Hall of Fame does have many guys in there and shouldn't be in there though, so they will make it. I am not disrespecting them. They were credits to the sport, but Gatti lost to guys which he shouldn't have if he was so great, and Forrest doesn't have the resume of an HOF fighter.

yes he beat mosley twice, a year later he lost to mayorga twice. but i agree, mac guigan should not be there

benn, eubank, casamayor, hamed, jackson, mcclellan and tarver should be inducted ahead of forrest

to think the only 3-4 spots are open per year

I agree. Forrest comes up short. I am not sure at this point he would have made it. Gatti either. I know the sentiment in here is to give it to them, but the sport has to be fair.

Gatti is a hall of famer because he would be remembered. That is what the HOF is all about. Immortalizing a fighter

Winning and losing fights is only part of getting inducted! There are many other factors as well!

Who is in the HOF that shouldn't be??? Name 5 fighters

Interesting, the Mosley win is better than any single win on any of those guys record. He did it twice, remember, he beat peak Mosley twice.
