The article is a bit worrying...

But I sure hope that (what you're suggesting will happen) is not the case.

It's a great fight and everybody wants to see it, lets hope the promoters don't **** it up.

Man, it sounds like Goosen is planning to back out and set himself up as the good guy on the way out the the door.

What Goosen's saying sounds a bit weird, but this fight is also good for his guy too. Right now Williams needs Pavlik (as Pavlik needs Williams) and Goosen knows it. I bet both sides will find a way to arrange the fight.

I think Goosen is right about this...Why would they settle for something that could bring them nothing at the gate... I want to see this fight..But he does make business sense...It would be stupid to agree to those numbers...

So you think Paul should get more than double his biggest previous pay day, while Kelly works for less than he made to fight Gary Lockett?:patsch

And, you think Paul deserves 50% of the gate in Atlantic City where 90% of the crowd will be Pavlik fans?:patsch

    Amen.

Paul is trying to get his cut, but based on this fight selling, it's Kelly that is going to promote the show the most. Thus, he certainly deserves a larger share of the sum than Paul does.

And I'm a huge Williams fan

If Goosen doesn't take the offer soon, Williams (or Team Williams) DUCKED Pavlik. That's right. If that article is correct, he was offered a 50/50 split with Pavlik (the champ and the bigger draw) AND a share of the gate which is obviously going to be all-Pavlik. And he's turning it down.

The most avoided man on the planet is on the run!

That's the way I interpret it. Goosen and Williams appear to be working very hard at making the Sauerland/Abraham plan work for them.

The sad thing is: everyone will probably believe it, and think Pavlik ducked PW. :patsch
