Ward can bean beat Kessler if He can be confident and focus, and i'm not fan of Ward, but Kessler is overrrated and inactive and since the Joe loss He do not have the heart too. I would not be surprised if he loses the fight, but i see a lot of fans here on ESB wil be.

Kessler should be able to knock Ward out.

I guess it.s 50-50 on here. And nearly everybody has respect for the opponent and rightfully so, 2 good fighters.

I could see a big UD win for Kessler. Before the Calzaghe fight, Kessler only lost 4-5 rounds and nearly everyone was in the Mundine fight, who is Kessler's best performance yet. To say Kessler wins 120-108, 119-109 or 118-110 does only means, that it is very, very difficult to win a single round against Kessler.
Kessler has very good hand speed and footwork and is an intelligent fighter in the ring.

Kessler has many British and Australian fans and i guess it.s because they have seen how competitive Kessler is.

If Kessler performs at his best vs. Ward i expect a respond like: "wow - we never thought Kessler was that good a fighter".

For some how, i think Mundine and Ward are the same type of fighters, fast, good movement, nature talented with good defense, so could we expect something like this ?

First off Kessler isnt bigger then Ward, which is one of the things that will shock some of the European fans...Secondly every fighters has a coming out party....Kessler had his and lost, this is Wards we dont know what will happen. We dont know enough about Ward yet which is why he is still green...Ward could very well come out and blast the **** out of Kessler, or have it done to him. My thing is despite would many would have you think, Ward is a far more complete fighter then is kessler, kessler can fight you one way that is all he knows if that dont work he cant adjust, we have seen that, we have also seen Ward out slug guys, out box guys and just flat out beat some guys up, no doubt he hasnt faced anyone like Kessler but that dont mean just because he hasnt fought anyone that good YET that he cant beat them.

Word of advice...Dont sell Ward short the guy is a very good fighter, and win or lose Kessler will have his hands FULL.

Ward is overrated because hes an American with an Olympic gold medal. Ward has no physical gifts and has little to no late round experience. I dont see him winning but Ward will be Kessler's hardest fight in his career other than Joe Calzaghe

I'm impressed by Ward as a natural born fighter, but his skills have a LOT of maturing to do.

Kessler is a very complete, sharp fighter. His jab is something out of the textbook. That jab will shut Andre down at this stage in his career.

Honestly, I think in 3-4 years, SMW is Wards. But this Mikkel Kessler, at the peak of his powers, is too much for Andre Wards still very flawed style.

the strength of being a boxing fan is being able to be objective.

theres nothing wrong with backing up your hometown fighter but ill never understand why people believe in a fighter more than themselves just because they are the last stand for their country.

stop pulling his dick because youre danish!

whats wrong with you people who have to do this.....

ward stands a better chance being on donald trumps "THE APPRENTICE", then beating kessler.

typical it is, that the white corporate america, is hyping the semi white ward.

Ward wins the tournament. Everyone is underestimating this virtual clone of Joe Calzaghe. He is extremely fast, and is in and out before you notice it. And I'm comparing him to the young Calzaghe, not the one with fractured hands who fought Kessler.

This tournament is going to be the end of Kessler, Froch and Taylor. Ward and Dirrell are too fast and smart for Kessler and Froch, and they have the stamina and work rate to beat Taylor.

The wild card in the tournament is Abraham, who throws punches from odd angles and is difficult to dodge and duck. He will certainly KO Taylor, and could beat Ward and Dirrell like Frazier beat Ali: pressure, and lots of hooks.

Kessler and Froch throw too many straight punches, so I expect them to be easily timed and counterpunched like Ali did to Foreman.

Ward beats everyone in the tournament with the possible exception of Abraham. Same goes for Dirrell. Ward beats Dirrell because he quicker, more agile and tucks his chin better.

Watch for Abraham to completely wipe out Taylor in a matter of minutes.

Simple subtraction, since Kessler has a 35% (exactly) chance to win, Ward has to have a 65% chance of winning....:patsch :yep

In all seriousness, I'd bet on Ward....:good Kessler has never beaten a better fighter....

Hey come on guys.. Everybody talks about MK missing the skills to change from plan a to plan b to plan c. Give the man a chance. One time in his fight life as prof. he lost to a better guy. I think it is fare to much that everybody keeps mentioning this as a weak point. Calzaghe is absolut top class when talking about this issue, he showed that also again Hopkins and RJJ where he was floored during both fights in the first rounds. Nobody keeps blaming RJJ to miss a plan b og c - despides he lost a more widely UD than MK.

Remember this issue was never ever mentioned before this one fight.
And then suddently its a big, big thing that is always brought up as a big weakness.

The fight was much more competitive than you write:
~ referee: Mike Ortega | judge: Raul Caiz 111-117 | judge: John Stewart 112-116 | judge: Massimo Barrovecchio 112-116
