A lot are arguing that the title be on the line only if the fight is at 147.

Fine let it be at 147 . . . but same day Weigh IN!

    Agree or not.

Pac is coming in from the lower weight and Cotto is naturally fighting at the higher weight class . . . if there's no concession . . . there's gonna be no fight.

If there's no catch weight and no same day weigh In Pac is in a big disadvantage. So it's more of no fight at all.

Explain your votes peeps . . . those people voting "NO" seems like they doesn't want Pacquiao be given an even chance to win at all.

Pac should just look the other way and give Mosley a fight.

same day weigh in would lessen the quality of pac's win.. and more excuses will sure come out..

As much as I want I believe in that, I think it is not realistic at this point.

Anyway, ever since this fight was hyped and discussed, and (apparently, under negotiation) I always maintain that if Pacquaio wants to get that WW WBO belt from Cotto, he should get it by climbing up to 147 and not to settle on any catch weight vanity.

Otherwise, I would applaud him if he will take the fight at 145 without any title on the line. Cotto as a tune-up fight?

Well, that is seems to be the only reason then if he is taking Cotto at 145 without any title.

That would work, aslong as the weigh-in is within 2 hours of the scheduled fight time.

i voted option 3, **** arum and cotto......if pac plans on retiring soon....he should sit out and wait for the floyd-marquez winner, if floyd wins we get fight of the decade, if marquez pulls off the upset of the decade, then we get marquez-pac 3....and its a nice way for manny to retire...

Some people in here is pointing out specifically to 147 lbs. not the limit of 141 to 147 . . . so be it . . . let them both be at 147 at fight time.

Why would that lessen the quality of Pac's win? Cotto weighing in more than 147 at fight time would mean he is fighting above the limit. So if these people wants to be technical about the weight then let's be technical about it.

Otherwise not considering the fact that Pacquiao is coming in from the lower weight class means these people just want to see Pac lose. :deal

**** YES. This solves all the problems.

There are health implications with having same day weigh-in but this is a huge fight and COTTO has A NUTRICIANIST on his payroll who will make sure Cotto doesn't do anything silly and try and drain on the day.

This way the fight is at 147 and Pac won't be outweighed by 13pounds.

I think this is all just A way for cotto to have a bigger playing field and more negotiations to be made at the end of the day. The fight will happen but now cotto can ask for a higher purse split, this is really smart by his part.
    **** give cotto 50\50 and he'll fight at 140..

Let's just make 147 with no limits what so ever. You need treat this fight like any other 147, no excuses what so ever. It doesn't matter what weight class you came from, if you feel you can't compete in this division without any advantages, then stay out of it. Simple as that, I don't understand all the crying and talk. Manny's team should be ashame, and has anyone thought what is this doing to Manny's mind. Does his team and Roach dont have any confidence if they fight Cotto at 147? :good
