Maybe he can, maybe he can't. The question is how many big shots can Pavlik handle? His defense isn't the best, neither Froch nor AA would be a walk in the park for him.

Pavlik's chin has stood up to the test time and time again. He took full power bombs from Miranda - say what you like about him, he has serious pop - and just ate them up and even let him tee off right hands on his chin for fun.

Pavlik took about 30 flush bombs from Taylor, went down and got back up like they were nothing. Taylor even admitted after the fight that he gave everything he had on Pavlik's chin, and it just wasn't enough.

Pavlik got battered from pillar to post for 12 rounds against an ATG Light Heavyweight who was landing full power punches AT WILL. He never looked like getting stopped.

Yeah, I don't think there are any serious questions about Pavlik's chin.

His defence isn't great, but it's no where near as bad as Froch's. He keeps his hands up and can parry basic punches fairly well.

Give it a rest with the Dirrell hate, I cant wait until Froch gets KO'ed so you can be a man and put a picture of Froch being knocked out up on your avatar for totally underestimating Dirrell. Are you man enough to do that ?

I do not hate Dirrel, why the hell would i hate the guy? just because i think he's the weak link doesnt mean i hate him. He is an amazing athlete and i have alot of respect for him. His problem will be the fact he is too cocky and too green, and i have already said to you in previous threads if he proves me wrong i will give him and you as a fan full credit. Chillout guys :hat. And yes i will do that, and i expect the same from you if Froch stops him. You have my word!:deal. And to the other guy who said have i seen Kelly fight? of course i have, why else would i think he can only beat Dirrel? i think the rest outbox him, and that includes Taylor and Froch. In fact, i think Dirrel would give him fits until Pav most likely KO's him late on. Realistically, i think he does well against a few of the fighters but not enough to win. Anways, i respect your opinions so dont get hostile about mine and chill a bit.:good

    Taylor, Abraham, Froch, and Dirrell.

I think Ward and Kessler would beat him.

Taylor he's already proved he could beat.

He may be able to outbox Abraham.

It's just 50/50 with Froch, but I would probably slightly favor Froch.

And Dirrell is probably too green.

    Taylor? No reason for discussion.

Abraham? Probably the single most over rated boxer on the planet right now. Pavlik eats short power punchers like pop corn. Pavlik KO8 Arbraham, and that should not even be debatable.

Froch? Oh Ya! and Smoger refs it! Good fight while it last, but ultimately Froch's lack of defense, slow hands, and poor footwork would cause him to take way to much punishment. Pavlik stops him somewhere between 5-8 rounds. I'd lean toward a short fight. Good fight, but short.

I'm not all jacked up about Ward or Dirrell. I think they are both in over their heads. Neither is ready to be tested the way Pav would test them.

Kessler? This one is all about the jab. Whoever wins the jabbing contest controls the fight. At this point I'd say Kessler wins a UD in a competetive fight. If we gave KP time to grow into the weight properly, I'd have to make a new assesment.

AND, this is another poll that is a good example of why all polls should be public polls.
We have 4 people who voted 6, and 11 people who voted zero:patsch

I guess you are from US.... All this Ward hype.
If Ward "only" makes a SD with Pavlik then he is in big problems against MK.

But anyway - its ok to disagree.

Anyway, I think that AA will have the hardest time in the 6 pack. We must wait and see.

Way to go - I completely agree about this AA hype. I think he will be the biggest loser within the 6 pack.

Froch is another case. I don't see an easy win for anybody - but I intent to give the edge to Froch. I think he will be the stronger of the two. Both iron chins - hardhitters - but can easily go both ways.
I would love to see this fight (war).

Ward and ward has to show there worth very soon - but without any real quality opponents - I see them comming up short together with AA.

MK will win by UD against Pavlik (9 out of 10 times).

What other guy in the super six would you call "an amazing athlete"? I don't see another. His so called problems of too green and too cocky are no where near the huge (real) disadvantages froch has against dirrel. No need to break em down because you've heard em all before.

Kessler- 50/50 Don't know what would really happen besides alot of straights. Would be a good fight between 2 straight shooters.
Ward- I would favor ward in this because I feel he has the ability to duplicate the things hopkins did against pavlik.
Abraham- 50/50 I think abraham has the wide punches that can get to pavlik but also has the style to get hit by pavlik's straight right.
Dirrel- Would favor dirrel who I feel could easily duplicate the things hopkins did to pavlik with great footwork and pavlik has never seen any speed like dirrel's before.
Froch- Pavlik would KO froch sometime in the middle of the fight.
Taylor- Pavlik will win another one like thier second fight where JT had the gameplan but not enough stanima to fully execute it.
