Finally one i can do.

Lynch is a great accurate offensive boxer with good reflexes that help his defence. He had a good chin and good power.

Canto is a good defensive boxer with good lateral movement and head movement with fast counters although he does lack power but had great stamina.

I think Canto can make Benny miss and counter him to get a close UD however i think Lynch drops him in the mid rounds and makes the fight close about 9-6

 

I agree on this one. Lynch was a clever puncher with true KO power, but he lacked the speed to cope with Canto's defensive and counter-punching brilliance, IMO.

 

Oh dear! Here I go again picking the old timer.
Canto is a modern great ,but Lynch was NOT slow, either afoot or with his hands ,and Benny was more than just a good puncher ,he was a VERY hard puncher, and in fast combinations .
Lynch used a very a modern style of offence , he had marvellous judgement of distance ,was allways attacking and could box very well himself.
I think he gets to Canto for a late stoppage, maybe the second to last or last round.I might even pick Lynch over Wilde.

Mcvey pal you make a good argument in Lynch`s favour, but I`m gonna have to side with Canto in this here matchup. The Mexican would have been well aware of Lynch`s power and ability and would have fought accordingly and would have pulled out a close and hard fought but deserved decision over his Scottish foe IMO.

Maybe Canto might take a trip to the canvas in this one should Lynch get thru with some of his heavy artillery, but my guess is that Canto will be just a little to quick on the trigger with his counters and ability to read the play than Lynch will and will walk away a winner after 15 rounds.

 

Lynch wasnt the fastest but he was no slouch either. Lynch is one of the best Flyweight punchers of all time so he always has a chance.

Well, its no disgrace to lose to Canto,just a shame,for a Fly as good as Benny to go out early imo.:good

 

Lynch has a lot of power he could have been even greater a tragic ending to a great fighter. In this particular match up I would favour Canto he was a true master and would win a decision his movement and boxing ability make the difference.

 

Canto would be super cautious early on. not to get caught by Lynch's power. Making Benny miss alot of punches. Canto steps it up in the second half against a slightly fustrated Lynch. & pulls out a close decision win.

 

Good posts so far, i'm taking Canto to edge close rounds with counters to the point where Lynch might need a ko to win what has been a competetive natured bout towards the end, in the last round, Lynch, with that bounce in his boots, goes for just that, and puts a beating on Canto, who feels himself lucky to hear the final bell abd takes a decision.

 

i think canto gives away the first two rounds keeping his distance fainting and letting lynch lead without replying to much. but from the third round on canto has settled and counter`s lynch. the rounds are close but canto does enough to win the majority of rounds and builds a lead and despite lynch winning the last two rounds with a last charge canto wins a ud

 

I think Cnato boxes well for the first ten or so rounds but Lynch comes on strong at the end. I give Canto the edge and say he avoids getting stopped.
