Well Finally its happened , thats it at the top level for Mr " dis respect all the real champions GB has produced " Junior Witter . And i for one am a happy man today and will be even more happy when i download it later and watch him quit on his stool !!!! Ok enough smack talk , Witter is a phoney always has been and always will be , he has consistantly disrespected fighters over the years with his stupid ridiculous assesments of there ability's and acheivements , he is all skill and no heart , he is not a fighter he is a showman who has looked good over the years out skilling B level opponents on his way to a WBC 140 lb title . He is a disgrace to British boxing and im glad this is it for him , his best win was against Vivian Harris in the Doncaster Dome in front of 3000 people as a WBC champion , we in Britain love a world champion and travel country wide to see our champions so that above statement says a lot for this clown !!!!!!! Oh well Junior get in line for Ajose Olusegun (British LWW Champion) now !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant. I've always had a special type of hate for Witter so it was great to see that not only did he lose, but he quit...... Nah, okay, I'm being harsh and what I'm saying is tounge in cheek, but Witter was overrated and at times painful to watch. I was never a fan an his Hatton baiting dropped him down in a lot of peope's opinions.
Whilst I don't hate him as much as above, it is still good to see finally he will hopefully shut his mouth and fade away. He's an arrogant disrespectful B-class fighter and ironically has been massively overrated just as he claimed the same of so many other rival British fighters. It's great Hatton didn't give him that payday he so craved.
His quit looked pretty shocking, it looked like the ref came to his corner and told him he couldn't keep hitting and holding so he got up and quit. I don't know if there was some other conversation going on in his corner at the same time but it looked like a total toys out the pram incident. Did anyone else see that and did I miss anything?
one thing is for sure, ajose olusegun will do NOTHING at world level so i think we should discount everything this guy says.
To me it looked like Witter knew he was going to be taking unecessary punishment from that point on and he had a Victor Ortiz moment. Just goes to show how much fighters have changed, fighters are not actually fighters nowadays they are pre-madonnas. Those guys back in the day who was fighting in tough fights every 3 weeks or so puts these guys to shame...shocking...I can understand if it was an eye injury but he claims it was his elbow that blew out, well maybe he should of thought about that before throwing all those wild punches. I actually saw how bad Witter is as a fighter, he is not effective at all with that awful style.
I completely agree, it looked like he's disapeared up his own arse with all that switch hitting nonsense and forgot how to fight......trying some complicated tactics when he couldn't throw a straight punch. Watching it live there was no obvious indication that he was in any pain due to his elbow, he said it went after the fourth but I didn't see any change in him through the next four rounds. His answer about whether it was him or his corner that quit was also a bit sketchy, saying it was "mutual consent" whilst looking like he didn't want to answer the question. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on him because I didn't hear what else was being said in between rounds but it just looked like as soon as the ref warned him he just got up and stomped across to DA's corner and congratulated him. As you say, shocking.
