The hell Cotto didn't beg for this fight. Cotto was calling out Pac before the Hatton fight. Pac wanted to fight Mayweather. He settled on Cotto after Floyd became unavailable.

The problem is that Pac is not a WW and doesn't want to fight at 147. Being that Pac is the draw, he gets to call the shots.

Nothing you wrote here contradicts anything I wrote about that fight. The fact of the matter is, Hopkins agreed to the catchweight, and put all of his titles on the line. Cotto needs to either do the same, or fight someone else.

Why not? He fought at the ww limit when he destroyed a shot De la hoya with out a problem.

That don't make sense. How can Hopkins agree if he's the one that want to fight at a catch weight in the first place? It was Hopkins idea of the catch weight not De la hoya.

Show me a link when Cotto CALL OUT PACQUIAO. Cotto only said he's interested in fighting Pacquiao but it doesn't mean he called out Pacquiao or beg for it. Arum started this about the idea of Pacquiao vs Cotto showdown.

since you are not giving pac credit for beating oscar at 147, why would you ask pac to fight cotto at 147 when you think that pac is not proven at that weight?

A WW fight is any fight between 141 lbs. and 147 lbs. Why is everyone acting like this hasn't happened before? People have been fighting at contracted weights below the limit for decades. Being that this fight is taking place between 141 and 147 lbs, then it is a WW fight and the WBO has the right to force the champ to put his belt on the line. All of Hopkins' belts were on the line when he fought Hoya at a catchweight.

It was Cotto's idea to have this fight at 145. Now he's calling an audible.

No one is acting like there is no precendent, the only thing people are talking about is that usually its up to the title holder to make a decision to fight at a catchweight, the challenger can't make the belt holder do so, and there is nothing wrong with a belt holder refusing to put his belt on the line at a lesser max weight.

Also the WBO has no right whatsoever to force Cotto to put his belt on the line in a voluntary catchweight fight.

It doesn't matter why Pac doesn't want to fight at 147. Hatton fought Collazo fought at 147, yet everyone complained when Floyd didn't fight him at catchweight(even though Hatton openly said he had not problem with the weight). i don't get why so many people complained because that fight wasn't at a catchweight, but now so many people are complaining because this fight is at a catchweight. Pac is a JWW, Cotto is a WW. Pac is going up 5 lbs. while Cotto is only going down 2 lbs. i don't see the problem here.

Cotto never begged for a Pac fight, he just called him out that's not begging, what Mosley was doing was begging for a Pac fight.

I think Cotto should have the title on the line but if he does'nt want it on the line then I can slightly understand also.
