I've watched ths over and over and I hear someone tell Nate something along the lines of "the cut's not that bad", don't know if it was the doctor or not. Either way, Nate is complaining of seeing spots in his eye, and the doctor clearly says "if you can't see out of the eye, it's over". All Nate could've said was the blood was getting in his eye too bad for him to continue and this all would've been different.

No... because the Doctor could see the cut wasn't bad enough to stop the fight. The fight was stopped because Nate claimed that he couldn't see and was seeing spots. That can't be directly contributed to the cut... because any punch can cause that sort of hemorrhage. Bleeding behind the eye causing him to see spots also can't be contributed to the cut. Once again, any punch could do that and there is absolutely no way to prove otherwise.

Bleeding behind the eye is serious, excessive bleeding can lead to perma vision loss in that eye.

The last report is, the doctor examined Campbell eye and saw spots of blood. After seeing the blood behind Nate's eye, the doctor then called the fight.

I don't disagree with that. I never bashed on Campbell for quitting. However he showed very poor sportsmanship by lobbying for the No Contest in the way that he did. If you have a serious injury... by all means, quit if you feel that you may suffer permanent damage. I am in no position to judge him on quitting. However, the way that he acted afterwards was completely uncalled for. Bradley did his job and all this nonsense does nothing but take away the great fight that he was clearly putting together.

Honestly... they can't confirm that injury in the ring that way. He needs to be taken for testing for proof of that injury. The diagnoses by the doctor was simply based on Campbell's claims of seeing spots. In my honest opinion... and I have NEVER bashed or hated Nate Campbell. I think that he simply wanted out, knew that he could try for a No Contest if it was stopped before 4 rounds were completed... and line himself up for another shot and payday afterwards due to the controversy. That's just my opinion.:good

We know that isn't true because we all got to watch what happened in front of our eyes. The doctor CLEARLY was ready to let the fight continue, but Nate kept telling him that he was seeing spots. The doc even clearly advised that it wasn't the cut when talking to Campbell... he also told Campbell that if he says that he can't see... then he is going to have to stop the fight. Campbell told him again, so he turned around and told the ref to stop the fight. It wasn't the eye examination... let's not be silly we saw what happened. It was Campbell's claims of seeing spots.

Of course. I was merely pointing it out is all. Some people still seem to think this fight was stopped because of the cut. Even making a thread showing fighters who fought threw worse cuts. Completely different.

I disagree but we shall see. If Nate said he could not see and then was seeing spots. I believe him.

Once again, it wasn't the cut that ended the fight. It was the CONTUSION OF THE EYEBALL resulting from the very same headbutt. One replay in particular made it very obvious, especially in HD, that the domed forehead of Bradley made hard impact with nate's brow AND eye.

As soon as Nate said he was seeing spots in his eye, the doc said the fight was over. He couldn't let it go on even if he wanted to.

It was stopped because of the bleeding of the eyeball caused by the same headbutt. ND.
