Pacquiao vs. Cotto: Stop with the excuses Cotto

I understand that fighters think a lot about their future. This is a sport where we just dont know what might happen. It was a challenge that will not materialize unless the other party agrees. In this case, to fight at a catchweight. If its just for the money, then yes, Cotto is doing a good job, but if this negotiation fails, he may end up regretting this. But if he is looking for recognition, he should put it on the line to make his or Pac's win meaningful. How can he get the fame and recognition of winning a megafight without anything to lose?.

A boxing match has all kinds of factors, but we are talking about a bigger man fighting a smaller man first off. Second, what you call a freak show is something that has been going on since boxing began so quit with the freak show comments. What are you even saying about Dlh-Pac???:huh People say that Cotto only has to lose a pound. No offense, but this comes from the minds of fans who have never had to weigh in for a big fight.

Rayhogan and I have not met eye to eye on a few things in the past but I have to agree that Cotto did not beg for this or any fight. The **** is well documented and a lot of you guys like to act like things don't happen just for arguments sake. Just like people were acting like the cut in the Cotto vs Clottey fight didn't exist.

Arum was the one that was the initiator of this fight. He was the one that put the fight out there. Cotto said he was willing to fight Pac and that he would not go down below a certain weight. Cotto NEVER calls anyone out. If you don't know this about him then I don't know what to tell you.

Pac told Arum to make the fight with Cotto at the conclusion of Cotto vs Clottey.

It was all over the media. Some of you guys like to post with half-truths and miss-information.

 

exactly! Arum is trying to milk both fighters and still want more. First he announce that the fight is on prematurely, when Pac's team havent even seen the contract. I understand why Cotto wouldnt want to put his belt on the line, and its really more of a career move more than anything, atleast have a safety net. In Pac's case, whats the use of fighting Cotto if its not for the title, regardless if its a catchweight. Either way, Arum benefits from this.

Cotto was calling out Floyd and Pac...he didn't know that he would be fighting Pac at a catch weight. Cotto saw Pac fight Dlh at 147, and said he wanted Pac, Floyd or a rematch with Shane...all at 147.

Don't try to say PAc can't do anything without being hated on. Nobody hates on Pac, except me lol... I have a love/hate relationship when i talk about Pac. There's more to gain for both fighters with the title on the line and so it should be on the line. :deal

 

The bottom line is that Cotto is dangerous for Emmanuel Dapidran at 145 or 147. If he has to weigh in 2 pounds less than 147, and PAc's fans say what is the big deal, why not fight Cotto at 147 if 2 lbs isn't a big deal? I think Pac beats Cotto at 147 anyway...no offense Cotto fans. Why have the catch weight idea hanging over Emmanuel Dapidrans head if he stops Cotto in a way that Cotto's weight loss affects him if it goes down like that:huh Why fight at a catch weight anyway. Why is Emmanuel Dapidran fighting Cotto at a catch weight?

 

its not a 147 lbs title, its a welterweight title and everybody knows here, including your mother, that welterweight is from 140.1 lbs. to max limit of 147 lbs.

 

So why is the fight called a catch weight fight moron?
