Went to watch Alex fight at the Hilton hotel against Japanese heavyweight champion and the end result was a draw. I've seen alex in action against Wilson, Briggs,Cronje,Azzouri and also on Youtube,I think tonight was the WORSE and I mean the WORSE performance shown by him. No disrespect to the Lionheart just looked like his mind was somewhere else i know how he fights and it wasn't him tonight he cant do this to the international fighters he needs to be switched on.

The positive thing is that alex must have a jaw made out iron granite of some **** cause he got hit flush on the jaw so many times it didn't phase him at all.

yeah sorry to all the supporters who was their last night to support him.....We struggled for the lack of sparring in he last 3wks leading up to this fight.....the LION was definitely asleep last night and credit to the Jap.....it was a dissapointing performance from him but we all damn know when alex brings it he'll bluddy bring it no matter the opponent.
Once again apologies for his performance this will definitely not happen again....in 3wks time at the Sofitel Hotel you'll see the real LIONHEART.cheers:thumbsup

everyone has their off moments maybe a lesson to learn for team leapai he has to perform to the best of his ability especially now he's WBO ranked no excuses if he wants it that bad to chase the world noel should get him the sparring conditioning he needs guys like haumono, meehan, kirby, demori even danny green would be a great option unless its financial problems thats usually the case,on the hind side s/rhino quote "Leapai has a chin made out of iron granite been hit so many times" thats poisitive news that his jaw's been tested somethink he needs for the top ranks.

Have to disagree with you there Cabana. Was there at the first fight in Sutherland with Fitzgerald and can honestly say Masataka won split points. Even with Fitzgeralds knock down. (if you want to call it that). Fitzgerald unfortunately looks out of shape and doesn't have the goods IMO.

Bit of a shock with the Leapai fight. In saying that, nothing in boxing surprises me anymore.

I mean all fighters have off nights, Leapai should not be taken too much to task for having one. He can be a little inconsistent and has plenty of flaws but that's what makes him so much fun to watch and officiate!

Kind of frustating to hear this, Alex just lost another oportunity to build up on his good moment.

Sure off nights happen, but it's the ability and the will to overcome adversity that will take you places in boxing.

An AFL footy show thought it was a bit rude that we'd pinched Carmichael Hunt and thought we ought to send someone back in return.

The little sketch showed a car-load of people pull up, and a person with a bag over his head pushed out of the car outside the Broncos base.

Sad thing was the person with the bag over his head was Warwick Capper! Then again 56 to zip, he wouldn't have stood out worse than anyone else!

i like leapai but to take away brians robbery in the first fight and agree with the judges even when the japs own cornerman came to brians dressing room after the fight to tell him he was robbed and the jap had two black eyes bleeding nose and brian didn't have a mark on him if you don't believe me buy the video i'll give the number of the man who filmed it if anyone wants just because brian was a bit overweight doesn't mean he can't punch he dropped the jap in both fights so it was no fluke.

Alex shouldnt be fighting in 6 rounders anyway..I know he needs to keep busy but he is well passed them now.
Just my opinion...you condition a guy to go 12 rounds stepping back to 6 can actually be hard.
