Luis Resto confirmed to filmmaker Eric Drath that Panama Lewis provided his fighters "asthma pills" crushed up and mixed with water to provide them unnatural energy and stamina increases through means of "opening up the lungs." Keyword; confirmed. Multiple references were made to Aaron Pryor, and his fight with Alexis Arguello throughout the film. Your thoughts?

Here is what cut man Artie Curley who worked the corner in that fight said who is a hell of a lot more reliable than Resto:

I think I'm 90% sure something was in that bottle, is what I think.

    "The one I mixed."

    Please. Common sense.

You're saying that one of the people who worked Aaron Pryor's corner, an accomplice FCS, is more reliable than a Luis Resto who admitted TO THE WORLD all the gruesome, horrifying details of the padding being removed from his gloves with his prior knowledge, his hands being treated with casts, and his being given this "asthma water" during the course of his fight with Billy Collins - he's less reliable than an Aaron Pryor ACCOMPLICE, heh? :rofl Good one..

Dude, I disagree with a TON of your opinions, most notably your scoring of alot of fights, but damn, you know how to lay logic and common sense down. We need say no more. Props for being sharp.

Curley is more reliable than Resto and Panama combined.

There have been stories that it was tap water mixed with mineral water (Perrier)

That it was mineral water mixed with peppermint schnapps

Nobody will ever know. But I can tell you this and people that have been around Boxing for a long time will tell you Curley was more reputable than Lewis and Resto combined.

That whole "asthma pill" is a bunch of BS unless it was ephedra which I doubt. Can you name me a pill that is used for asthma?

 To each his own, my man. I love boxing in that we can see things different ways. Take the compliment, haha.

Mosley beating Cotto, Bernard beating Calzaghe, some stuff where we dont see eye to eye.

Point is, when its opinion, we can disagree, but I've never seen you not use logic or common sense. You got it in spades.

Yes I watched it last night. The guy lied for 26 years. Nobody will really know what was in the "black bottle" except the person(s) that mixed it. I suggest you do some research on who Artie Curley was and what people in Boxing say about him. Resto was NOT in Pryor's corner that night or in the dressing room. Do some research there is a lot of information out there on this issue.

Hell Panama still denies ANY wrong doing in the Collins fight. Do you believe him too?

Nope, but I am a lifelong fighter and fan. I thought Joe won.

Back to the point: What do you think about Raf's point in this thread? Im curious as to your opinion.

I scored the fight same way as Rafa did, but I have no major problems with the decision.

I've read about the Resto/Collins story, but I haven't watched the fight, nor seen the documentary. But it's obvious one can't trust someone who worked Aaron Pryor's corner on this issue.

Cool man. You owe it to yourself to see it. Good ****, compelling stuff. I believe Panama Lewis is one of the most damaging guys to ever hit boxing, and this stuff deserves this sorta scrutiny
