The reality is, Campbell should have waited to see what the referee called it.

As much as I think the fight should be changed to a no contest, Campbell has no one to blame but himself for the TKO loss. If one looks at the replay, it was only after the fight was stopped that Nate went over to the ref and asked if he stopped it on a headbutt. Why ask once the fights over?

What he should have done was wait to see what the ref called it, before making his decision. He just assumed it was stopped on a headbutt, but he should have made it clear with the referee.

well he can't exactly be like "If its a headbutt, then I can't see, but if its a punch, then I'm ok."

That's not really what i'm trying to say, but you're probably right in that regard.

I'm just saying that Nate should've waited to see what the ref called it, then make his decision. If he would've fought on if he knew the ref said it was caused by a punch, then people wouldn't be questioning his heart and stuff, or would say that he really did just want a way out of the fight and only continued when it was determined that he would lose if he stopped fighting. If he stayed on his stool even after he knew it was ruled by a punch, then we would know that it probably was something seriously wrong with him, with the supposed spots and such.

I just feel like he handled the situation wrongly.

Agreed. This was the equivalent of punting on 4th and inches on the final drive of the game when calling for a measurement might make it a first down.

Reality is, You can't blame nobody when it's you who's telling everyone to stop the fight... Nate walked to his corner and started shouting and begging to have the fight stopped. It's clear. He Quit!!

the ref is supposed to make a clear announcement of his ruling anyways, but he never did.

The ref looked like an idiot.

Especially when he said that there was clearly an unintentional head butt but since there was a (weak) punch before he finally saw the blood then the butt didn't cause the cut...:nut

Right, because cuts to flesh explode like balloons. I think a toddler could have called BS on that.

This was flat out awful. There wasn't even that small gray area Marlon B. Wrong had to work with.
