He was already on probation so he was already on a thin line. Bottom line is he's a pro athlete that doesn't think to clearly. Alot of guys these days wanna be more like rappers rather than professional athletes and it's fu*kin ridiculous. Oscar Delahoya comes from East L.A. and that's the hood. Have you ever heard of him getting into sh*t like this? No. Wanna know why? Because he knows how to fu*kin think. Kirkland doesn't.

 

I would say you got three things backwards. 1st its more likely that rappers are the thug want-to-be's and boxers are the exthugs that "usually" turn their life around through boxing. 2nd Oscar is a bigger rip-off than than a whole gang of Kirklands could even think about but then the sheeple usually give those megacorporal ripoffs and abc promotors a pass. 3rd, whoever thinks Vick got a bad rap for torturing animals probably has criminal tendencies himself.

 

Why free him?, he's 25 and has an opportunity to be a very wealthy man and he decides to throw that all away because he still thinks it's cool to be "Thuggin". What a goof.

The guy is a convicted felon, but about to go on very promising path.

Fortyounce also made a great point, if he really was concerned about being robbed, he could just have hired a bodyguard.

Instead he decided to blow it all, if convicted by the time he gets out of prison he will already be well into his thirties, and a career in boxing wont be to promising then.

 

First off, I got nothing backwards pal and I have no criminal tendencies. I'm an unknown Boxer working my ass off just to get the little bit of exposure Kirkland has. If you're a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE you have to know what to stay away from. Secondly, if you're familiar with entertainment these days you would know almost EVERYBODY wants to be or is a thug. That includes athletes.

Their are plenty of athletes not only in Boxing that were talented but ended up going down hill or worse because of how they lived their lives. Third, I didn't think Vick got a bad rap, but if he was sent to jail for something that didn't include a fire arm then yes I think Kirkland is getting what he deserves. Fourth, Please tell me how Oscar Delahoya is a ripoff? This should be interesting.

Yeah right, I bet Floyd and Oscar are the only two boxers that always go chaperoned like that but then since Floyd has a felony I dont think even a bodyguard can be armed in Floyd's car or home.
