The guy has never been knocked out, his loss to Thompson due to him punching himself out. I don't really understand why the guy has been tarnished as having a glass jaw. Sure, he might not have an iron chin, but I don't think it's fair to say he has a porcelain beard either. Until he gets knocked the **** out, or wobbled by a non puncher, I don't think the label which many brandish about is warranted.
Well he has been floored a few times; Thompson, Mock, Mormeck, Barrett all floored him, so I guess that is why he is labelled 'chinny' - although your right, he does not have a 'glass jaw', its just an average beard he has - not bad, not great.
Barrett never floored him, as far as I remember. He slipped then Monty hit him when he was down. Thanks for the contributions though, it was an honest question in aid of my understanding of his label.
People always bring up the Cat's fight but that never makes sense as he was hurt but never went down. Not to sure why people always bring it up.
you think his corner threw the towel in for a laugh? The Lock KD is probably the worst nick Haye has been in....and Mock is a light hitting light heavy.
Mock is a super-middle really. He's even fought as low as middleweight in his career. That knockdown, and his reaction to the punch was pretty startling.
So taking a beating = chinny? I dont really know what his corner throwing in the towel has to do with having a bad chin.
