    8oz.

Pac's defense is really underrated in this thread. People act like Cotto will hit him at will.

Actually i think Cotto did say many times that he wanted 8 ounce gloves. Thats why he said he wanted the fight to be at MSG cus the NYSAC allows it.

The real question is what socks Pac will wear.

Definitely benefits Manny more than Miguel

If Miguel connects hard, it was guaranteed to do big damage regardless of what gloves they wear

But now Mannys lightning punches have even more venom to them

    I fear for Miguel

Pac's only chance is to fight the perfect technical fight against the better technical fighter in Cotto. Hmmmmm. All the talk about Pac going to war with Cotto is insane. Pac has barely even been touched at 140-147. Wrong time to figure out if you can bang with a true ww.

Cotto has never fought anyone with the legs and head movement that Pac has.

I doubt Cotto lands more than 25% of his punches.

Seems to me like Pacquiao will be going for the early KO. He wants the smaller gloves to help him with speed and to make every punch count. I think that he knows that the longer Miguel is in there the more that he is at risk of getting worn out to the body. He is probably counting on his defense to avoid any bombs and will try to get Miguel out of there before Miguel's offense can be a factor.

No way. pac will fight this fight just like he did with DLH. With the stamina issues that Cotto has showed in his last couple of fights, Pac will drag the fight out and turn it on late.

You don't think that's a mistake? Cotto is no pushover and while he does tire late, that's no good if you get Ko'd yourself in the 8th. I think that he has to try to get Cotto out of there before Cotto can hurt him.

So now because of Pac's last three opponents people are buying into the hype. He was given the perfect fighters to look good against. Look at how he struggled with a faded Morales in the first fight and two close fights with Marqez. A good technical fighter will always give Pac trouble.

I think that Cotto is overrated as a technical fighter.
