Joe Calzaghes, one of the greatest boxing performances ever.

Mosley was more impressive then both, but Hopkins win over Pavlik was greater then Joes over Lacy. All three fighters were alike in the sence that many felt the younger man was SUPPOSE to win. All three dominated the fights, Pavlik and Margo were far more highly thought of and were overall better fighters so that has to be factored in as well. Thing about the three fights is that Hopkins and Mosley were dogs and Cazlaghe was the favorite albeit a very slight one based mostly on the fight being held in the UK.

B-Hops by far. Calslappy and Lacy were both prime champs and though Lacy was supposed to be a beast, Calslappy was an undefeated champ in his prime too. Hops was an old man who had just lost and Pavlick was a young champ who just beat the man who beat Hops. That makes his victory much more masterful and less likely.

But by your own argument, Calzaghe was an "Undefeated Prime Champ" when he narrowly beat Hopkins too and there was a lot of distance between Taylor beating Hopkins and Pavlik beating Taylor??

Calzaghe. Did Lacy even land a punch?

Loved the way he dropped his hands and went toe to toe in the last round as well

You can't say that hopkins learned this from calzage. He had already done it twice before. He used similar strategies against Tarver and Trinidad. Sure they don't count as inexperienced fighters but doing this is nothing new to bhop

Did Pavlik? He might've landed a couple of semi-flush right hands but that's about it.

When Calslappy beat B-Hops they were regarded as both past their prime a bit while when Calslappy beat Lacy he was years younger. He knew he was almost done after the Hops fight while he knew he would fight on after the Lacy fight. So in that effect he wasnt "Prime" bu he was undefeated

I'll take Hopkins becuase he was 44 at the time.

I'll put that performance up there with the great sporting performances of all time.

Yep, Lacy landed quite a solid right hand in the last 20 or so seconds of the first round, to which Calzaghe reacted by squaring up, dropping his hands and twatting Lacy for the remainder of the round.

Sound, :bbb Hopkins really exposed Pavlik, but the weight difference between them makes me favor Calzaghes win because it was more even field.

At 1:37 when hopkins feints with the right and throws the left as Pavlik reacts and opens up. Brilliant.

It is exactly the same move that pacquaio knocked out Hatton with.
