    He is a former world champ and he has lost two fights in a row to what were considered contenders. Does that qualify for gatekeeper status?

    Maybe but I still think that him and Hatton should fight.

    If Hatton didnt exist does anyone think Witter could of been a big name in Britian?

    I for one would like to see Hatton vs Witter as a retirment fight for both fighters, just dont see it happening.

    He was never a fraud I just think he had a negative style but his ability was there to see.

    Against bums!! When Witter steped up every time he was completely humiliated ala Judah, and Bradley. Witter has one good win against Vivian Harris but even a guy like Carlos Maussa could beat Harris. He has a controversial decision against Kotlinek. Witter is a bum.

    Audely Harrison fought most of the Martin Rogan fight with a broken jaw. Witter quit from a supposed sore elbow. But he acctually quit so he wouldnt be KO'd, you can only run so much.

    The way Witter quit was very disappointing but you can not say he got exposed when he stepped up because that is not true.

    Maybe he was a world champ in division that was a little weak at the time but he beat Corley, Kotelnik, Harris, Lynes and N,Dou which is may not be exceptional but proves he was world class.

    The Ingle style does not work well for aging fighters that rely on reflexes for defense and Witter ws unable to adapt his style as he got older also he is to negative at times.

    Witter was able to coast to decisions against good euro opposition.... His 2 best wins were against Vivian Harris and Lovemore Ndou... He nearly stopped Ndou, a guy who never was stopped....

    Witter if he did what he did after his lost to Judah, he might get back into contention... He's a contender, but he's on the lower end of that section... He's in Herman Ndougjo territory...

    He is to old to make a similar comeback like he did after the Judah fight and he can not break out of the Ingle style which does not work well for aging fighters.

    Witter = shot.
