Panama is a slimey pimp of the fight world, a low rate, illegitimate Don king sort of character, and he destroyed Louis Resto's life, and i'm sure others as well. Louis should be vindicated. he served his time. ever since I watched this i've been compelled to go up to the morris park gym and pay him a visit, let him know he has supporters out there.
Just watched this documentary last night. Great documentary, Luis Resto is a dumbass, Panama Lewis is a douchebag and I wish Resto would've punched him when he went to visit him. How can anyone work with somebody like Lewis? seriously. Also a judge denies the motion to reopen the case after all the new evidence? sounds like straight up corruption.
I don't hear the sounds of corruption simply because Collins' doctor said that he could have fought on after the fight. It was Collins' father who pushed his kid out of the ring in hopes of a payday from suing everyone. That is what I believe killed Billy. Arum claims he had offered him fights after Resto.. If I were a judge and saw how Collins family wanted no part of the documentary or facing Resto then I feel that they want no part of any information that came from the documentary.
I see your point, it was really messed up how Collins family just slammed the door at Resto's face, given that Resto wasn't directly responsible for Collins death. I do agree with you that Collins' father contributed to his death, which makes even worse their attitude towards Resto after all these years.
Collins is/was one tuff SOB. That was a horrible beating he took. I don't blame the PR's for never bringing up Retso. (& ever so sweeping him under the rug)
