    Why is it so hard for some of you to accept that there is a lot of current fighters could beat some of the old timers. Now, I don't think Manny would have a chance of beating Pernell. But, I can think of a lot of matchups that would favor today's fighter. See my Mayweather Jr/Duran thread.

    I think Pernell is just to technically sound,and a smart boxer he would give Manny fits, and he had a great defense too. Sweet Pea by UD

    i agree

    I think modern day fighters have some advantages over fighters of the past.... but in boxing you have some time/age hierarchy or something
