    Leonard by stoppage....

Better fighter by a long distance, more powerful, stopped a superior huge WW in Hearns. Williams is too hittable and can't keep distance like Hearns could.

Which version of Williams? The one that lost to Quintana or the one that had a very close fight against Margarito? :D

Anyways SRL by KO! Williams is way too hittable and my man would be hitting him with huge shots all night.

Doesn't matter because Hearns was better at keeping distance than Williams. A MUCH better technical boxer with a truly great jab.

Couldn't keep P-Will off of him? If P-Will tries to pressure SRL with his sloppy defense, he eats shot after shot from a legitimate knockout puncher at WW with some of the best overall skillset in the history of the sport.

I have to assume youre joking, otherwise your love for Williams knows no bounds. A keep in mind, I'm a Williams fan myself.

Take Williams on his best night.

Leonard punishes him and either stops him late, or wins a wide decision.

Take away 20% of Hearns' skill, and 25% of his power, and there you have it. Tommy was an absolute beast 147-154, and SRL was one of only a handful of guys in history who could beat Tommy at 147. I don't think we have seen the best of Paul Williams yet, but he'll never be Tommy Hearns.

PW is quickly becoming the most overrated fighter on this board.

    SRL would dominate him.

Of course...and to be honest with you, I think Williams has ATG potential. It's going to be fun watching his career unfold.

Paul Williams maybe an exceptional fighter compared to the present crops of fighters . . . but don't compare him to the golden years of Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Benitez or Pepino Cuevas where they fought 15 rounds fights.

The guy lost to Quintana at 147 in 12 rounds for Christ sake.

Leonard by a fairly comfortable UD, giving Williams the benefit of the doubt in terms of resilience. Williams doesn't have the defensive or range controlling capabilities to have a chance against someone like Leonard. Mayweather is a much better matchup for Williams.
