Remove Haye from the original fight, replace him by Chagaev, and we'll see if he can really get 65,000 tickets sold....

Lesnar is maybe not more popular but surely more marketable.

Yes they are loved in Germany. But if it had been Chagaev that was origanily announced. They wouldn't of got near 60,000. Also like my self and another 20,000 brits that were going to see Haye. We had already booked flights and hotels that most people didn't want to lose money on and went any way.

WWE is popular worldwide. Lesnar was a popular wrestler, so it would not surprise me if he was more known there too.
But you could be right. I don't know if boxing is doing well in Russia.

There's enough ex-pats in New York for Wlad to probably sell out Yankee stadium if he came back.

But enough sillyness. Lesner was never popular in WWE, he had a **** shtick and his wall-paper personality never got respect, he also performed like crap inside the ropes. Lesner was one of the guys during whos matches you'd take a **** break because you didn't care if you missed it. (although I can probably say the same thing about Wlad half the time and his fight after the 3rd round)

im more of a boxing fan than UFC, but honestly, i know more about lesnar than i do Wlad. Boxing exposure here, especially about euro fighters, arent as rampant as UFC.

Not ****ing likely after the Ibragimov fight. If I recall correctly, the Eastern bloc ex-pats in attendance were booing the **** out of the "fight" in the ring.

Lesner, If Klit was an American I'm thinking he would be more popular and boxing would be doing better.

Lesner is more popular but that is due to him being apart of many different sports College wrestling were he won a national title...NFL...then WWE....NOW MMA...He picked up some fame with every step...But its not out of the norm for a WWE star to be more popular then the most popular boxer....
