Nah, Lesnar is more popular worldwide, but once again it isnt based on MMA alone. Its the combination of things that he has been in.

dont get me wrong, Wlad is a good fighter but he is boring as hell and he fights like a *****, which will never get him the love and respect that a blood and guts fighter ala Holyfield has...Even if he was American Wlad would be more along the lines of Larry Holmes, and would fall well short of the likes of Ali, Tyson or Holyfield.

I had no idea who Lesnar was until he became UFC heavyweight champion. I doubt he is that popular outside of die-hard MMA fans. Fedor Emelianenko is more popular without any doubt. Fedor is much bigger than Lesnar in terms of popularity.

Wladimir KlitschKO is just another level. He is well-known all over the world. Anywhere in the world. He is a global figure not only as a fighter but also with his charity work.

That's the biggest joke. No one cares about Lesnar. Anyone knows Fedor.

The way that one is view in one area doesnt make him known worldwide. While it maybe true that you dont know who Lesner is I didnt know who Emelianenko was until yesterday when I read about his talks with UFC blow up and that he was signing with Strikeforce, that I just seen today on ESPN.

Thing is WWE has fans worldwide, and as such Lesner who was one of it biggest stars is known were ever that is shown, on top of that Lesner has now picked up MMA fans, along with the fans that follow amatuer wrestling. I know that it dont mean much to you, but I could go to a grammer school down the street from my house and 8 of 10 11 year old kids could pick Lesners picture out of a lineup while none would pick out Emekianenko and maybe 1 or 2 would pick out Wlads. I know that its my corner of the world but what Im saying is Brock has/had more road to be seen on. Different groups of fans from different sports.

Anyone with a slightest idea of MMA knows Fedor Emelianenko. It is like you have heard about football but you have not heard about Pele or Maradona. No way. MMA = Emelianenko.

I have no idea what WWE is. I know amateur wrestling. The first name that comes to my mind is Alexander Karelin.

Lesnar, but not because he is UFC champion, just because he used to be in wrestling. Only UFC fans really know about other UFC champions.

I follow wrestling (greco-roman and free style) but I have never heard about Lesnar before he became UFC heavyweight champion. What kind of wrestling is that? I am talking about the Olympic sport.

I don't know anything about Brock, but I know that Wlad's last fight was fought in front of 65,000 people, with 12 million watching in Germany alone, huge figures also for eastern Europe, people watching in Britain, the US, etc etc etc., does this other guy command those sort of figures or is this a very American comparison?

    No its not.

Its only popular in the States, UK and Japan. Those countries are the only ones ******ed enough to buy into that garbage.

They tried to bring that **** to Poland one year and only 100 people showed up.

    Popular worldwide my ass.

Yes, but Hulk didn't just wrestle...

He had his own TV shows, made some movies, and tons of apparel for all the people.

All Lennox did was box, so its no doubt that Hulk would be popular.

You're right. But everyone would know who he is.

You know, now that I think of it everyone knew who Lennox Lewis was/is and he wasn't American nor was he all that exciting. You think it was the Tyson win or something?
