Interesting matchup. I think Guzman's power at 140 is more worse than Khan's chin. It would be interesting to see how guzman outboxes Khan in this matchup, but I have no doubt that he does.
khan was dropped by a lot lighter punchers than guzman guzman was not considered a light puncher below 130, a lot of his ko's and kd's came from punches his opponents did not see i think guzman would be way way too much for khan to handle
he used to be called the mini Tyson at Super Bantam, but he has adjusted his style a lot as he has gone up. Khan has been hit and hurt by other boxers than Prescott, and boxers a lot worse than Guzman, I see Amir being dropped a couple of times.
Watson, Gomez, Presscot and even Limond arent lighter punchers than Guzman. Speed is on par with each other IMO, and Khan's size is the only thing that makes him competitive. Im picking Guzman and Im not sure exactly how, but it is absurd to say Guzman would be too much for Khan to handle. Im assuming you believe Guzman wins by early TKO?
Khans chin is not the very best in the divisor, but he can handle Guzman with boxing and eke out a good win imho.
Im saying he looks quicker and is gaining in confidence.... Nothing is certain but i think he has a good chance in that fight.....I do think Khan may have moved into the championship position a bit too soon.... but it was an opportunity they couldnt turn down i suppose... Do you think Guzman can Ko Khan?? or simply outwork him? im not certain either way. so fire away
If Guzman's still all there (and he might not be at this point), he's one of the few guys who I think could cause Khan problems from boxing rather than punching.
