    correct

the WBA will continue to be a circle jerk of fights

    Haye
    Valuev
    Ruiz
    Chagaev

King will have them fighting eachother for the next 2-3 years:yep

Don't forget Meehan. But from the rumours of what Meehan did to Haye in sparring I can see David faking another back injury rather than face Kali.

Haye knew that from the get go. He knew he is NOT a mandatory challenger so he has to sign away options. If he just wanted one fight with one of the Klitz he should have fought a title eliminator and become mandatory. But Haye did not want to go that route.

So that means you have to sign away options and fight the next 2, 3 or 4 fights against who and where the belt holder wants you to. Pretty simple. Haye knew all that. He wanted to rather sign away options than fight for a mandatory.

Haye signed away options with Sauerland/Don King for the Valuev fight, too. Simply because he is not a mandatory challenger. All this is not news.

That's exactly what Haye wants. He will simply defend his "title" in England against a bunch of nobodies while he hopes that Vitali retires and Wlad fades as he gets older and older.

    Yup.

Haye wont fight Wlad until Wlad is 37 at least, unless Wlad loses form and other fighters are beating him.

Haye wont fight Vitali ever. By the time Haye has finished hiding behind his WBA obligations Vitali will be long retired.

What?? After all the mouthing off that Haye has been doing a loss to either Kilt would kill his career. He cant afford to lose. Vitali had to build his career back up slowly after Lewis, Haye doesnt want to do that, thats why he's been trying to get a shot without earning it.

Beating Valuev will give him a decent win in HW. As bad as Valuev is, he's ranked very high. The hype train will start rolling for him once he has a title. Plus its a title the Kilts really want to get, therefore he'll be able to get a much better deal facing them. Valuev is there for the taking aswell, he'll looking worse and worse these days.

I dont know what you were smoking.

If he wins a title it is a win situation. Not as much as fighting and beating the Klitchko's, but it will put him in a position where he can talk and bargain for big fights. I think if he wins the title he is not in a losing situation.

I wonder what'll happen to Haye if he loses to Valuev, even if it's by getting robbed in a questionable decision. I don't see Haye losing, just thinking out loud. Losing to Valuev is probably much worse than losing to Vitali.

It's not "no win". If he wins, he can make a decent living fighting easy defenses and walk away from Klit negotiations whenever he wants (if, of course, that's even an option with the whole King situation).

And I do believe he can win a decision. If you were King and had options on Haye, who would you rather have as your champ? Besides, doesn't King have a limited # of fights with Valuev and aren't they nearly up?

If Haye beats him, it's a more legit heavyweight win than Barrett and he gets a title belt.

    I wouldn't call that a no-win.

He'll probably be saddled with Ruiz next, but then he'll get even more praise if he finally gets rid of the Quiet Man.

Man, what you said is perfectly true, but its such a sad state of affairs isn't it. Which boxer actually wins is based on King's business decisions. Everybody knows it, but it still happens.

    Bull****

The problem with the 3/4 fight deal with the Klits was that he would still have only got a certain percentage in the numerous rematches and then against Vitali as it was all done in line with the first fight. Why the **** should Haye agree to that?

He wants to fight them both but should he beat Wlad and then wants to fight Vitali he will negotiate new terms more favourable than what it would of been with the 3/4 fight bull**** terms the Klits offered.

Bull****. He wanted to, then changed his mind.

Now he will wait until Vitali retires and Wlad fades.

Haye - Wlad will finally happen when Wlad is 37 and Vitali is long retired.

Because that is also what he wanted?

When his brilliant business mind thought he would earn more from his loyal British boxing fans and the PPV? You know, cause he has such success in promoting and all. Like that Chelsea stadium effort - wow! What an accomplishment!

The contract was great - he got everything he wanted.
