Pacquiao has astonishing footwork and balance, he shows great timing and punch variety, he's learning new skills with almost every camp, he has great punch resistance. He doesn't have just speed and power. Your post is for ****.

While I sympathize with those arguments, the most overrated boxer of all time is clearly Ali. His "signature wins" were
    - a dive and a quit job by a disinterested Liston
    - beating a Frazier clearly ruined by Foreman
    - Foreman that was undertrained and fought entirely the wrong fight (not to mention had a curse put on him - who wins with that??)

And he lost three (!!) times to Ken Norton, who lost to an overrated Cooney and was lucky not to lose to journeyman Scott Ledoux. Plus the loss to a green, average Leon Spinks. That's "The Greatest"?

Yes, Pac only has 1 quality win, but Ali doesn't even have that.

the perfect example of what i'm talking about. You talk about the 2nd morales fight, which was Morales first fight after he was humiliated by a nobody. He looked horrible. That's a sure sign a fighter is overrated, when a win like that is used as an example of his greatness. Oh and Marquez kissed the canvas 3 times in the first round, then went on to dominate Pacquiao. So even though Marquez was down 3 points after the first round, he went on to dominate Pacquiao so bad that at best it was a draw according to the judges, disregarding the fact the most people feel JMM actually won the fight.

Im not a pac nuthugger by any means but you have to admit the guy has been dominating and he is not only winning he is flattening guys out on the canvas. Some points I understand but you was being completely biased in your assessment because regardless if Barrera or Morales or Who ever else was over the hill, he still had to go out there and execute, it was certainly no walk in the park. He has shown that he is boxing and improving slowly and you cant fault a boxer for doing that, there isn't many fighters at this point in time who is making the same waves as Pac is so cut the boy some slack dude. He is willing to fight whoever, he is fighting Cotto at a catchweight which I dont agree with but the boy is fighting him. I feel there are fighters that he should of fought but that is another topic.

Boxing needs fighters like Pac because he keeps the hardcore purists along with the casual fans interested in the sport and especially the casual fans. We need as much fans of the sport as we can get otherwise soon enough MMA will take over.
