their amateur fight... wish they could have fought in the pros... would have been an instant classic... kinda reminds me of hagler vs hearns in the way that pryor was stalking... :D

A pro bout would have resulted in Pryor laying unconscious in a pool of his own blood.

u think so?... i see it being a good fight... but not sure if pryor would have been beaten like that... he was really undersized though if they would have fought in the pros

Pryor's come forward brawling style would have led directly to his destruction with a guy like Hearns. Pryor did possess the ability to box, but is he really going to outbox Tommy? I don't think so

All evidence leads to one conclusion: Hearns KO 5

The Pryor of the Arguello rematch would have KO'ed Hearns or at least go the distance and win on points, Pryor was able to outbox Arguello, no doubts he would do the same with Hearns.

That was entertaining. Hearns sure through alot of looping right hands. Pryor was terrific.

The only difference is that Hearns punched much harder as a professional.

Hearns was better also. The Hearns who beat Benitez and Duran would have knocked out Pryor. Arguello's punch was not at 140 what it was at lower weights.

Yes, because a 1983 Arguello fighting at 140 lbs. is so similar to an 147 lb. Hearns. Wonderful logic.

Pryor gets wasted by Hearns as a pro at 147.

    I don't like Pryor's chances at 147 against the top guys...especially Hearns.

Hearns can either KO Pryor or cruise to a UD. People forget that Hearns was ahead on points when Leonard stopped him....he'd have no problem boxing Pryor.

I'm no longer convinced Pryor would have won the Arguello fight without the aid of a foreign substance. Would we even be talking about this fight if he hadn't!?!?!#

P.S the amateur fight has no real relevance. Hearns KO ratio in the ams was so small...his power grew with age when he became a pro.

At 147 you would have to say Hearns would ko Pryor at some point. The size, the right hand power would be to much IMO. Although Hearns does have a suspect chin so you never know. Pryor gets hit to much to last the distance.

Could be quick, like Hagler vs Hearns.
