Ok so the big fight day is coming up and I for one am getting a little keen on this delicious morsel of pugilistic pleasure RJJ VS Lacy and Green VS Dominguez RJJ future HOF had one of his biggest wins for his first world title that feels like 20 years ago over BHOP.....other good wins over Toney and griffin after punching him a few times on the canvas RJJ would wish Tarver was never born while other wins over Woods, Trinidad and Ruiz gave this man his place in history While Lacy with his best wins over Vanderpool and Reid looked like the best thing since sliced bread until he got schooled by JC :yep looks to be coming up way short in this fight. Danny Green fighting on the UC with his biggest win against Stipe Drew's and other noted battles like Green VS Buyer I and late in Buyer II and Lucas looks to have the wood on Dominguez however I have no idea who Dominguez is :hey Anyhow who's looking forward to this fight and who's going to shell out their hard earned cash to watch this fight?
I wont buy it, but may go to the pub just to see Green. If Jones doesn't beat Lacy considerably well then what can we expect vs Green who would wipe his ass with Lacy's left hook imo... Also I had a dream Green lost this fight. Only dreamt the result, not the actual fight. Only time I've ever had a dream about boxing except when I dreamt Bernhard Hopkins was chasing me down the street and I couldn't run fast enough so I threw a right cross and busted him up good. Yes, It was a dream. Anyway Hopkins lost his next fight after that so maybe we'll see a trend
im looking forward to it, its boxing and were watching a great fight in rjj and even if faded ill respect the guy no matter who he fights, i wish they both win so he comes over to australia that would be a great great trip!!
Awful viewing for boxing fans imo. Green fighting a hand picked nobody all the while making out that he is winning a "world title" at a 3rd weight to set up a fight against the ONCE great Roy Jones Jr. Green will win in 3 or 4 rds and Roy wins a near shutout over the hopeless Lacy. How predictable. I almost want to see Roy KTFO so that he will quit but the sad thing is that he probably wouldn't. I don't know about others but i can't stand the fact that Green will probably fight Roy and make alot of money off his name. It sucks. Imo Roy still beats Green comfortably on points. If only Green were to be fighting the ferocious Roy Jones Jr of the 2nd Montell Griffin fight. Now i would pay to see that.
Tend to agree mate......Its great for aussie boxing if Green wins and can get RRJ down here.....might lead to more OS fighters of note coming down as well :good
Julio Cesar Dominguez vs Cristian Dario Leal - June 2007. Dominguez (he's the one with the hair) ends it with a very handy left hook in about round 3 of 10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWGP9Sf79KY&NR=1
Cheers CHB :good Looks like it will be a good fight....hes got some skill and good power in both hands and some interesting movement. Green will try to walk right through him so hes going to need to look out for the counter hooks
I reckon it will be good. Will give Aussie boxing a few seconds under the bright lights if anything and no better bloke than Greeny to fill those shoes. Small interview on ParraTV if anyone is interested: http://bigpondvideo.com/NRL_Eels/198182
Yes I do have some high flyers and big wigs coming round .....and unfortunately a few guys from the forum :yep Nar just jokes...those guys that I have invited are very welcome :good
if you actually look at the card on boxrec there is some quality fights. dunno how many we will get see here in oz tho?
