Is/Will Miguel Cotto the same fighter at 145 than he is at 147?

Why does Manny Pacquiao want Cotto to pay millions if he comes ober 145?

Why are they so desperate to have Cotto come in at 145? Will Cotto lose something that makes Cotto what he is?

I dont think it will make a diffference, but If it is a problem he should just pay for the additional pounds ($2M) and come in at 100%. think of it as an investment he will make more in his next figh after beating Pacquiao.

I guess they want him to lose too much weight advantage. Wont work cause its just a pound from how much he weighed in the last time. Pac insisted that Cotto go down to 143lbs, Cotto said he wont go lower than 144. They settled at 145lbs. Roach just wanted to take away Cotto's advantage but failed to do so.

Obviously the heavier Cotto is the better his chances. Sounds funny though when we're talking about only a pound or two either way.

Good question I think that Cotto wont have any problems at all making 145 but only Cotto can answer that question indefinitely.

We'll find out soon, if it's a big deal he wouldn't have asked for 145. It was Cotto who demanded that weight, Pac's team wanted 143. Cotto got what he asked for.

hmm says... won't be a big difference imo... 146 to 145... i don't see a real difference ..........yet persay coupled with the drama with negotiations and such....... other than right now that he's become more focused and determined. maybe good or bad.... we'll see come fight night.

    Absolutely.
Also a very smart game plan by him/camp to begin training camp early.
(Get used to the weight & avoid making Pac millions richer w/penalty's)

Come fight night, Cotto will be at a very comfortable weight.
I predict him weighing in at 143lbs come weigh-in day.

Cotto should say **** it pay Pac 2mil and come in at 147. Team Pac and the *******s would go crazy and it would mentally **** with Pac. If I was Cotto I would do this to gain a mental edge and come in on fight night weighing close to 160.

Yes he is. It will make barely any difference as he came into the Clottey fight at 146.

Cotto will just de-hydrate more before the weigh-in and then probably weigh around the same anyway.

I hope you're not suggesting Pac is trying to get an advantage or weaken Cotto as this holds no water as Pac will be outweighed by around 13 pounds on fight night.

How is that draining or taking advantage.

It's really the smart thing to do. **** coming in at 145. Let Pac know he's fighting a 100% fighter not a guy who is coming in drained.
