lewis would knock out vlad? manny's interview.. thoughts?

emmanuel stewart i felt answered the question who would win lewis-vlad match-up. he has to be cautious as he currently trains vlad but to me it appears as he answered that in favour of lewis. it's like - "he who has ears to hear, let him hear" thing. he points at the ability of lewis to do whatever it takes to win a fight when needed (not in favourable condition).. when he describes vlad, he points at his strong sides, although not offering anything that neutralizes lewis ability to win.

that confirms what i always felt myself that lewis would probably knock out vlad, if a fight would've happen.
what are you thoughts, read the part from the article, though. do you feel the same?

 

To me it sounded like he thought it's a 50:50 affair. He wouldn't know how it would go until the fight is over.

 

Ok..in no way Steward says Lewis ko WLad.

no manny didn't say that, this is a feeling i got from his interview and would like you all to share your thoughts about it. even if steward thought so, he would never reveal it working as vlad's trainer. i even give him a credit of not saying that after his work with vlad would be done.

 

It's weird how Steward went on and on about Lennox's extreme physical strength. Thompson, the 6foot 6inch beheamoth that fought Wlad a while back talked about Wlad's unbelievable strength; how when he sparred with Wlad he got thrown around like a rag doll. When Wlad gets opponents in the clinch he leans on them for awhile and they soon start getting that wilted, discouraged look about them. I think Steward underestimates Wlad's raw physical strength a bit, but Lewis had a way better uppercut than Wlad and more of a killer instinct.

 

I got the feeling from that interview that Steward was basically picking Lewis, but didn't want to flat out say it.
He talked about Lewis' will to win, his ability to adapt, his raw power. Then he says, "well, Wlad has good balance".

Manny went on about how Lewis had the heart and the strength to go after Wlad and then said that Wlad fights best when he's against a guy who's going after him aggressively. He also then said that Lewis fought alot better on the inside then people give him credit for and that he has a great inside uppercut while Wlad moves around the ring like a lightweight.

What I got out of it was that Manny felt if Wlad could keep Lewis on the outside he would win. And conversely if Lewis could get inside on Wlad he would win.

 

Vitali could not handle Lewis punches . Wlad gets ko'd unconcious.

 

Yeah I agree. I thought Manny was saying that Lewis had great ability on adapting to the fighter no matter the situation. I think Manny was also hinting that Lewis new how to dig into the trenches. However Wlad hasn't fought anyone of Lewis 'top opponents' calibre to be in that situation.

But I think if it came down to a prime Lennox to a Prime Wlad he was leaning towards Lewis. Due to Wlads lack of experience of being in the ring with great fighters and his ability to brawl when need be(take it to the streets :smooch)

 

Of course Lewis would knock out Wlad. The difference between the two is this: Wlad is meticulous, exact, measured, almost like a programmed robot. Lewis was more free style and adaptable . He'd land first, and the robot would short circuit. Lennox by ko in 5.
