Thats fine meet in the middle no title then. Just a fight to see who is better. If you want the belt 147 no middle bull ****. Either way great fight and I will be spending 50 bucks.

At 147 or 145 I could care less, 2 lbs is not much difference imo. The way I look at it, i could easily lose two pounds taking a **** or gain 2 lbs just by watching the food channel. However, for all those that couldn't release a nut just because of the 145 weigh-in, I say just let them do their weigh-ins in the ring right before the fight at 147 flat, no more no less.:thumbsup

Because he knew Oscar wouldn't be at full strength. If he is the P4P champ, then he needs to fight people in their weight class. P4P means that you can go up or down to a weight class that is near you and still dominate. I agree with you Lakers2432!!!!

Let me give you some facts.

    1. Oscar's previous fight was at 150.
    2. He was planning on coming down to welter to rematch Floyd from his SD loss.
    3. He was at weight weeks out before a fight.
    4. Simple they employed the wrong game plan and thought coming in so light would make him faster.
    5. He was not weight drained he was slow as hell and couldn't beat Manny to the punch or follow him properly around the ring.
    5. When Roach realized Oscar couldn't pull the trigger was during the Hoya-Floyd match the one Roach trained Oscar for.
    6. Weight drained is an easy excuse.

Cotto needs to bring our idol Pacman to his senses...You're not playing fair!

Seeing how Manny Pacquiao conquered his last 6 titles in different divisions was truly an amazing sight to behold. All were achieved at no catch weight!

But i'm afraid his quest for a historic 7th title is not even close to the greatness that each of his 6 titles can be described with. I personally feel he is trying to buy and cheat his way to accomplish this feat. Winning Cotto's title @145 will diminish his already great Legacy. But to win it at @147lbs will forever cement his name right next to the boxing gods.

A Miguel Cotto win this Nov. 14 will be the best thing that can happen for boxing...

The difference is that Oscar calls the shot over Pac. But Pac calls the shot over Mosley and Cotto.

say what you want about Pac on the night he fought Oscar, but MOST of the "experts" thought that Oscar was picking on a little guy and was going to blast him out! The way people were talking as soon as that left hook landed it was going to be over with.

well it landed in the first round.........and the little guy proceeded to beat his ass for it! LOL

Mosely, Oscar. Cotto, Mayweather...........they have all negotiated in their favor when they had the power in negotiations. Its the one perk you get for beating everyone's ass! The Klits do the same thing.........and that is why David Haye is making chump change fighiting Big foots ugly brother instead!

OSCAR put all the stipulations on the fight. He sought out to fight Manny.

So the question is, if the Dlh win was so great to some of you, then why is Emmanuel Dapidran fighting Cotto at 145??? Great question...

If those guys brought the money in that Oscar did then he probably would fight them at 147lbs. But he's the draw now and he calls the shots. It's how the world of boxing has always worked. I seriously doubt the intelligence of some people here, why everyone can't understand such simple realities and just deal with them is beyond me.

We don't know who could of beat Pac at 135 because he chose to fight who? You guessed it David Diaz instead of Nate who had 3 belts, Casa who was the Ring and linear champ, JMM, or even Juan Diaz. 140 Pac would be favored over everyone you are right maybe Bradley. Who did he dominate at 130?
